Play for Play-sake! Play is a state of being that is intrinsically enjoyable. It energizes and invigorates us. It eases our burdens, renews a natural sense of optimism and opens us up to new possibilities. True play is its own reward. It is undertaken voluntarily and most times, enthusiastically. It is often a form of self-expression and is always pleasurable. Play, whether experienced directly, (participation), or vicariously, (observation), is completely absorbing. Play is more than just something we do for amusement. It is an exploratory bedfellow to creation and innovation. I believe play is necessary for both personal happiness and the positive evolution of our species. This collaboration is about taking the ordinary and making it extraordinary. Anything can be a toy depending on your perception. Video of any form of play is welcome, but bonus points to anyone who takes something which has a less playful commonly perceived use and turns it into a toy. Also welcome are writing about play, drawings, and any other form of media that really embodies play for you. Let's show each other the real magic of our world. Everything is beautiful and when someone takes an object or creature and does something unexpectedly beautiful with it, it inspires and brings smiles to everyone in that bubble. So a couple years ago I was going to dress up as a nunja with nun-chucks for a party. I failed to pull that off at the time, but I was speaking to Tori today and she said the word Nunja and it brought it all back. Nuns and Ninjas already dress pretty much the same. They both have a strict doctrine they adhere to and everyone loves both groups. This will be a fun collaboration that could totally go viral. I am currently in the middle of writing a funny story which I will try to finish by the time I get back from Bali. I welcome other writers to make an awesome story as well. Artists draw some funny pictures, Animators animate. Costumers costume, etc etc... Puns and made up words encouraged! Yatah! |

I have such fun making and also eating culinary creations that people have taken time to put love and aesthetic beauty into. I also am a big fan of cuisine scenes in movies.. Post your pics, movies, or animations here Chefs and Cheferinas! Who knows, some of these clips could be useful in other projects as well. |

I absolutely loved choose your own adventure books as a child, (and I never grew up, I just got bigger, ...and not much bigger ;). Anyways , I thought it would be amazing fun to write a morphing, growing, multifaceted, tree branching story with all of you. So, I decided to initiate this collaboration by starting off a short story and adjourning it with a choice for someone else to pick up and run with. If you want to write the next chapter to a story just put the title somewhere in the description and perhaps the choice that was left by the last person to start your chapter off. There will be stories within stories obviously. Have fun with it... doom the main character to poor decisions so that they meet an untimely demise if that's yer cup of tea. Feel free to fill in possibilities that got passed over further back in the story or even feel free to write a different outcome to the same decision if you like. If you like you can even start an entirely new story with a different feel to be built upon if thats what floats yer boat. We may eventually wanna make a story outline tree so we can see all the avenues and possible story combinations that have come out of it. Artists who feel like adding some visual spice to our story smorgasbord, get draw happy with yer bad self. I absolutely adore hats and I find many people do. In juggling, hats are a very human prop. When you play with them in a creative way it brings smiles and teaches us that everyday items we sometimes take for granted can make beautiful art too, depending on our perspective. For this collaboration I will upload one video a week of myself doing some cool trick or technique. Then anyone who wants to send in a clip of them doing that trick or another trick which has been inspired, please contribute. After we have some cool things to work with we can edit all these into a fantastic group hat manipulation routine. Example: Rolls down one persons arm to drop on anothers head, etc... This can also be a fun exercise in bringing inanimate objects to life, ( as Keaton and others have done so well). Clips of hats falling, rolling, floating, or even with faces on them talking could come in handy. Also if you find yourself the owner of a funny blooper, post it too, and we can eventually make a silly blooper reel. Again by <3 |

When I was writing A Record Revolution I had the idea for this collaboration. I thought that it would be an extremely useful tool, (especially for poets, musicians and manifesteers), to have a collaboration collection of inspiring sayings that really embody some of the Hitrecord philosophies. This is useful as a remix reference and also to find things that rhyme or have the same amount of syllables. I will keep track of an organized master list, (featured record) and when you have lines you would like to add then contribute a text record with the line that you like which resources the original record you got it from. I posted some to get started and when we have collected a good bit I will also start a syllable record which organizes all of them by syllables and a rhyme record which organizes them all by rhyme. I also put the number of syllables in parenthesis next to each phrase. |

I noticed that a couple of Hitrecord's sayings happened to have five or seven syllables. I am a big fan of Haiku and I thought that since they are short and sweet, this is something we could all have fun with. I also thought these could be used on posters or in various other collaborations as well. I thought it would be super cool if someone wanted to take audio or video clips from other records and piece them together to make a haikus. |
