This is the third installation of my HitRECord Ancestry drawings and the one I'm most nervous about : S
This one (and I'm not sure how I feel about this because there is little resemblance : S ) is inspired by Ms Tori Watson's very dark portrait with the guitar.
I remember when I first saw that RECord (I was really new to HitRECord) and it came across so bold, it's one of my favourite HitRECord portraits.
I have to say that this would be the equivalent of a love letter, this one being directed towards the artist Tim Burton - of whom I am a huge fan. So this is very dark and slightly macarbe and I love it for that.
I did struggle with this one - I blogged my progress if you'd like to check it out. I really don't think this looks like Tori, what do you think? And is this a good or a bad thing? ... I like her eyes, I tried to capture the eyes : S

** Do any of you zoologists know if “chiroptera” is the appropriate word? Since pigs are mammals, I assumed their wings would be like the wings of the bat, which are called chiroptera, but that is also the name of the order that the bat species is in. Next installment coming soon... : D The dialogue only style was just for the Prologue -- that is, unless you guys think I should stick with it for brevity? |
