On the 22nd of February at 12:51pm, Christchurch was hit by a 6.3 earthquake, centered just outside the city 5km deep. It was a violent quake that was felt in Dunedin and Wellington. It has destroyed homes, buildings, work places, national icons such as the christchurch cathedral and many lives and families. New Zealand is in a state of shock and are doing all that they can to help the people of Christchurch get back on their feet. This is a hard time for many in New Zealand since so many know loved ones who live in Christchurch. It has taken just over 24 hours to locate all of my family members in christchurch who are all safe and accounted for. My family was one of the lucky ones. So many are still searching for people who may not even be around any more. As a hitrecord community, I would like to offer the chance for anyone to make a video, text, image or audio bite for the people in Christchurch. They need as much support as they can right now and your encouragement and your thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks <3 |

I am a huge fan of Charlie Chaplin and I though it would be incredible to recreate one of his Public Domain films. Since there was no collab for this I thought I would make one so its easier to find stuff! |

This Project was conjured up by Pickleblossom's costume collaboration. She is designing a costume that will be sent to dancers of HitRECord all over the world. The aim is to get footage of people dancing in the same costume and put all the footage together at the end. Now, to do a project like this, we are needing people from HR to band together in drones to make this work. You don't have to be a ballerina or formal dancer to be apart of this. Musicians: To dance, you need a rhythm. It would be awesome to have someone create a piece of music for us to all dance in time. Once one is chosen it will be posted on this collaboration. Dancers: If you are interested in dancing in this collaboration please leave a comment and ill add your name to the mailing list. Not a dancer? but want to be in it? Even if your not a dancer, if you have a friend or a manikin you can dress, dance with that! Have costume somewhere in shot and boogie around it, so long as it is in shot. As this dress is going around the world it would be great to shoot your dance out in the open air so we get an idea of where you are in the world and to see where this costume has been. Nearing the end we will be needing some kick ass editors so spread the word about this collaboration. I have a feeling this will be a lot of fun.
