I read annmarie's fragmentation and fell in love with it. Great writing girl!
I took a few days to post this because I wanted to have time to gather my thoughts in expressing my gratitude.
My entire life I always knew I wanted to be an artist. I specifically remember in middle school deciding I wanted to pursue graphic design and work for an advertising agency. Fast forward to 1995, I graduated college with a B.A. in Graphic Design, moved to Atlanta, GA and fulfilled my dream, so I thought. Turns out I HATED that job, the people I worked with and just the step on everyone cutthroat mentality. I completely burned out. That experience left such a bad impression on me that I stopped creating art for 11 years! Now I did the occasional birthday invitation for my kids but that was it until the summer of 2012. I finally had a chance to see the movie 50/50, and the story really moved me so I decided to do a little research on the real man. During my research I came across HitRECord. It was if the universe was trying to direct me back to my dream because I joined immediately and have never looked back.
I have learned so much and tried so many new things all with complete encouragement from this wonderful community. Being a part of this has reignited my love for art and I have all of you to thank.
So thank you my friends.
with much love, Laura
I thought I was hot stuff, I was only a sophmore but I was invited to the senior prom.
