Ever looked up the dictionary definition for words like death, dream, or inspiration? Dictionary definitions cover the bare minimum. They give the most basic meaning of a word. We know that single words can embody much more than its dictionary definition and this collaboration seeks to explore that. Using spoken word, music, images, text, or whatever your preferred art form may be, try to capture a single word. Seek to define it "In Your Own Words." Capture not just the textbook definition but the emotions evoked by that word, the significance of that word to you, or what that word inspires within. Ultimately, I would really like to create a short film that showcases different people's personal definitions for various words. It would definitely be cool if you could contribute audio files of yourself defining a word in your own words. It's not just a definition, use perception, innovation, and evaluation.
