Okie dokie- so my idea is to hopefully entice some of you guys to create images for some of the descriptions below:) I thought it might be a cute collection, ideally a small book or group of postcards:) All ideas and contributions are super welcome! It is called (as of now) "DISTBIRD"- a play on disturbed birds. The cover being a tree trunk/branch with "Disturbed" carved into it and then the "urbed" portion scratched out and replaced with "bird". Each page/postcard would represent one disturbed bird- it would then have a witty def of the bird and of the condition- a reference i made to help explain :http://www.hitrecord.org/records/132729 here are my initial ideas that I need help drawing/ creating etc... - Mayhen (Hen and Mayhem) -Painguin (Penguin and sadism)- i personally envisioned a penguin enjoying burning his wing with a lit cigarette -Eaglemaniac- (eagle with an ego) maybe because he is on the US seal?? -InSwaniac- (swan + insomniac) - Sporrow- (sad sparrow) -schizopheasant- (pheasant + schizophrenia) -Psychowl- -- Socially Hawkward -Multiple pigeon-ailty disorder - Mackawbre (mackaw + macabre) -Loon-acy -Hystquailical (quail +hysterical) -Doveiant (dove and deviant) - Pelicanoly or Meloncanary or both (melancholy) -Albatrossity (albatross + atrocity) -Narcissisiduck- (duck + narcissistic) -Convicted Falcon (convicted felon) -Gulltony (seagull +gluttony) -Ostrichsized (ostrich and ostracized ) -agoraphobchick- (chick and agoraphobia)- chick doesn't want to leave nest maybe? - and the last page would just have a small drawing of a cuckoo bird with no explanations- but maybe with a sarcastic thought bubble or something.... I actually have more... but these are my top picks- I am open to any interpretations, ideas, concepts etc.... I also would love ideas for the defintions/text that would go along with each pic and please know that this project is all in good fun and not meant to be offensive- i mean no disrespect. I hope I get some contributors!!!!! |

I make horror props and am also a vegetarian- so in my head I have always had the idea to do something visual (film? graphics?) of a vegetarian zombie movement- my ideas include chanting "grains" instead of "brains" , opting for heads of lettuce versus human heads- i thought it could all start when a cauliflower was mistook for a brain (possibly from a colorblind zombie?) I dunno- I think it could be cute- or funny-i would love if anyone could bring this story to life (or un-life) |
