LET'S REVISIT "THE PHOTO JOURNAL COLLAB" & REMIX NEW ART FOR IT!
IrmaVep, our Image Curator, has a few words regarding The Photo Journal Collaboration, which began with two cameras, a journal, and a box over 5 years ago on hitRECord.
==
Here's how YOU can contribute to this collaboration:
PHOTOGRAPHERS: You could contribute your photography to the collaboration.
GRAPHIC DESIGNERS: You could remix the existing visuals and text into new records.
EVERYONE ELSE: Take a look around the collaboration and see what you can come up with to add to this collaboration. It could really go anywhere!

Thanks!

Sorry Jason....I couldn't help myself...it's so fun to harmonize with your voice :) Hope I didn't ruin it. I tried to place my voice more in the distance so that it didn't distract from your lead :)
So here's a song I wrote as a Valentine's day gift for Yiling (you should check it out, this song makes more sense if you see it...). It's based on her wonderful drawings! :) (in 28 of them actually, so I'm not going to add them all here I'm sorry, but check out Yiling's page! http://hitrecord.org/users/Yiling) I was asked to put just the song here separately... so enjoy!
Lyrics:
Ain't it strange how the time flies
It feels like it was yesterday when I was a child
Back then when I could close my eyes and find
A whole new world inside my mind
I had whales in my bed and a bird nest on my head
And the sun was my air balloon
And my toy giraffe
Could talk and walk
And the trees were my friends too
Ain't it strange
But back then it wasn't strange at all...
But then came the time to grow up and face my fears
I learned some new laws and cried a few tears
And so a big part of those worlds that I had
(was) were gone and I thought I'd never see (it) them again
But then I found you and your beautiful drawings
I must admit I was quite inspired
You must believe it's trueall the worlds that were lost
Came back to my mind
Ain't it strange?
Then again, it's not that strange at all...

I just saw Rochelle Boucher's Tiny Story and immediately decided to write another Tiny Tune with it. My daughter demanded to sit in my lap and sing along, and I thought it was just too adorable not to share. I'll be recording a regular version later today once my kids are asleep, and I'd love to see maybe a Tiny Film or Tiny Animation come from this!
I have this character called Jeanine.I draw her since 2009 when I was still in high school.
She is a teenage girl who was born in a circus, but now she left it.
now she needs:
shoes
job
a soulmate
her cello and her accordeon,(but a circus lion named Béla will send them after her)
socks,
oh,and I almost forgot,varnish remover.
She has a hedgedog friend.:)
I have a lot of illustrations about her,I will upload them here. It's kind of a story about growing up,starting a new life, but staying a kid in the same time.I know it sounds cliché,but I think for me it was personal,I started to draw her when I left home and I went to college.
When I think about her story,it's kind of melancholic, adolescent thing, just some lines. But if you have some ideas, feel free to use the pictures with or without the character!!
