So this is my first attempt at kinetic typography on AE, and I must say that it took a very long time, haha. I had a lot of fun doing this, even if I am n00b. ;) Some parts are a little rough, but I'm glad I'm back into REC. (Thanks again via for the spell check!).
Did this because I've been wanting to do something like this since Imee (mushr) came out with her "I love words" prose last year, and when Mike (MetristAdrift) did audio for it. :)
I guess it's time to study now... :( but hope you like it! <3

When things repeat the same thing, they connect. :)
I tried to find RECords that had some sort of connection between each other, and since it was the beginning of The Regularity today, it wasn't so bad.
Whether it be through hearts, similar drawings/words, RECord buttons, 11/11 signs... repetition connects us.

Dreams that make sense or are full of nonsense - somehow are always inspiring you to hit RECord.
In celebration of hitRECord hitting 5,000 records, I wanted to REmix some of my favorite records (as well as some that I just stumbled upon) on here.
I find that dreams, whether you find them full of meaning, haphazard, etc., get you thinking about things that you don't really consider most of the time -- and hopefully they get you to RECord something. Sometimes, I wish dreams our could be recorded and we can watch them over and over again... but then, there's always hitRECord.org.
So here's to the next 5,000 and the next, again and again by m so horrible at these things. =/

Things I like... I haven't released a RECord in a while (school started for me last Monday, been busy like a bee, haha). But I've ben working on this animation/video thing for the past week or so... it's just taking a long time to make, haha. This is just a little thing I wrote in class last semester (thanks Randy for that zombie inspired line! lol). No cohesive meaning is intended, just rambling since this is all over the place. I like to get high off sobriety, where laughter with friends sends vibrant messages through my blood stream, telling it to release that dopamine to replace the dope I see used by once close acquaintances. I like staying inside on rainy days to catch up on my baking plays... with the guys, 'cause there ain't nothin' wrong with men who confess that instead of undress, he'd rather his lady come and caress the smooth knob of his... Easy Bake Oven. So let's hurry and get to baking somethin'. I like to speak my mind inside and out the classroom, where I absorb the teachings of favorable professors, teaching me the importance of growth and progression. Because all we want is for people to pay attention to our 2 cents, Like the homeless on the street, I don't want your coins, I just want change, where zombies won't pass you by due to vacancy of a brain, even if society's lobes are lapsing into a mental state of being brain dead, fearing the possibility that we can't think for ourselves anymore. I like many other things, like ice cream in the winter, or eating breakfast cereal for dinner. But what I'd like to do is to know what others like, then maybe we can cross over our similarities in hopes to agree to disagree, because nothing is more tedious than liking the same things. |
