Issaness's Collaborations
|
Sara (Sparra) and I were discussing mugshots earlier today and she mentioned running across "vintage mugshots" on stumbleupon. [http://www.stumbleupon.com/su/2v7lu2/www.awesome-robo.com/2011/03/18-vintage-mugshots-from-twenties.html] We were in awe at how creative they appeared to be in comparison to the mugshots that we have presently. So we were thinking that it'd be cool to create a collection of hitrecord mugshots. Though, your creativity should run free, I think it'd be cool if the plate being held up in each hitrecorders shot is similar. So here are two ideas that we though should remain constant. - The date should certainly be 11/11, what better time for a mugshot portrait than the regularity? Heh. - Your plate should include the icons used for hitRECord that differenciate video, image, audio and text - based on the things you specialize in. Some of us may include them all - others may include just 2 (like me). So...I suppose that'll be it. I expect to have my own up in the next couple of days. ^_^ For now, I've labeled this as an image collaboration. This is HR though, and I expect that it could turn into anything. <3 Thanks for recording.
*Disclaimer: We don't actually want anyone to engage in criminal activity. The accusations or charges for your fake mugshot shouldn't be of anything one could actually be charged for. EDIT - MattConley remarked on June 19, 2011 It could be cool to make video mugshots as well. Perhaps have stories segueing up to the mugshot too? |

since im on my phone right now, which wont let me use apostraphes, capital letters, or parentheses in this text space at this moment...I'll make this short and sweet since this collab is probably really self-explanatory. The main question here on hitRECord is "Are we recording?" so my question is when is it just innappropriate to ask such a question? This, of course, is mostly for the laughs. Gotta have some comedic relief! Lists are not necessary, but certainly welcome. Otherwise, rec as they come to your mind and contribute. I cannot wait to see what you come up with! And for the record, no pun intended, my phone is refusing to let me use exclamation marks and other symbols that this collab would otherwise be filled with. A hitrecord game...what better way to stay entertained? Enjoy! |

There are several fairy tales that are public domain, so why not use them to our advantage? Vihar wrote a poem called "After The Ending," and it inspired me to create this collaboration. I think it could turn into something really great. ^_^ I don't think all of our endings would be so kid friendly any more, but it would probably appeal to adults. I know I love alternate endings. |

(Thank you Pam/Pamagotchi for the title. [:) Awhile back, a friend and I were talking about how great it would be to have a charity section of HitRECord, so I want to see how many of you would be cool with the idea. The Skype chat seemed pretty positive about it, so maybe you guys will be too. We'd have to get the "O-Kay" from the higher ups *coughJoeandfriendscough* before we do it though. Here's how we'll do it if they're okay with it. HitRECord has a voice, and a pretty positive one at that. With that voice, we could really make a difference in the world beyond just our artistic abilities. We can spread messages that help causes such as cancer research, education, natural disasters, environment, health, etc. There are a ton of charities in the world that could use some help spreading the message. If we could create something for whatever charity we choose, we could give it to them (preferably free of charge) and let that be our contribution. A lot of us don't necessarily have the money to just throw at a charity, but we do have special talents that could help them immensely. Aside from helping in a very positive way, this is yet another way to get hitRECord out there and looking like a very positive site - because it is of course! So those of you in favor say "AYE A PIRATES LIFE FOR ME!" Actually, that was my ADD kicking in. >> What I meant to say was: if you want to help this collaboration you can 1) recommend it! 2) Contribute a link to your own collaboration for a certain cause, or 3) just contribute images, text, videos, music to this collaboration and we can see what we can do with it...whatever you want. Just remember that the whole idea behind this is that the charities would get what we gave them without any cost, thus the whole point of charity to begin with. ^_^ Hopefully this works out as planned. [: Marke and Joe, your comments/approval would be nice to see as well, of course. |
