My mother didn't always had time to read us stories, so she used to buy these casettes with radio plays on it.

Sometimes, there were fairy tales on it, for example "The emperor's clothes" or "Sleeping Beauty".  Or the story of "Heidi, in the mountains".

But my absolute favorite was "20.000 leagues under the sea" of Jules Verne.  I could listen to that tape for hours and imagined everything in my head or make drawings of what I've heard. 

When I was older, the tape eventually broke but it's still one of my most precious memories of my childhood.

Luckely for the (Dutch-speaking) children today there is a company who started to make radio plays again with great actors and music and stories wich inspires the imagination of the young and the old(er).

It might be an idea for another edition of the HitRECorderly, to make a radio play with a book that goes with it.

Just a suggestion.

I made this illustration to put on a kite, but there are so many illustrations that would look great on a kite. 

All he really wanted, was a hug ...
