While I've said this before when we've sent out checks to our Contributing Artists, it always bears repeating. The point of hitRECord is not the money; it's about the RECords we all collaboratively make together.
But I take enormous satisfaction in signing these checks and working with all of you.
Thanks Again!

BIG NEWS: We're gonna be on TV!
"Hit RECord on TV" is gonna be a new kind of variety show. I'll host the show and also direct our global online community to create short films, live performances, music, animation, conversation, and of course, more! Each episode will be focused on a different theme. And like always, anybody with an internet connection is invited to contribute.
I'm super excited to get started!
Are you RECording?

I say final... but you never know.
This has some foley stuff done and the wonderful original score is all mixed in there with the dialog
Thanks to everyone that helped out on this project!! Ah!!!!
Starring Jeremy Dean Henry (Haus_of_Glitch) and Thomas Charles Paessler
Shot and edited by me
Written by Rian Johnson
Original Score by Craig Sutherland
Narration by Phillip Baker Hall
Major thanks to Cami Moss for doing all the grunt work on set and being my gaffer! :D
Download for HD so you can see all the grain and stuff I put on the video!
Shot on the hitRECord Sony camera and my ever trusty 5d Mark ii
The file is about 1.72 gigs total.
Enjoy!
I can't promise the jokes and language behind the scenes is totally safe for work. Sooooo sorry about that.
I saw this brilliant short film by Cameron J Smith and there was no question; I had to score music for it!
Compose something neat and I'll add it to the film!
Also if you want to do foley, that'd be cool too...
I'm uploading the raw footage for the film and the stems for the ADR.
And if you're an animator, you could make something that shows the card 'luck' for the last shot.
Thanks everybody! Give me much happy!
As always, download for HD!
Today (1/13/2013) is my second anniversary here at hitRECord. The last two years have been absolutely marvelous. I have met and become friends with so many wonderful and talented people and I could not be more thankful for each and every one of you. You all continue to inspire me every single day and so on this special day, I wanted to thank you and show my appreciation for all of your glorious art by REmixing the logo, the word, the community that I hold so close to my heart. I love you all - never stop RECording.
Again, by heart,
Stevie

Hello HitRECord & GRL,
This year GRL was my recipient for The Secret Santa Collaboration. Its my first time participating in an annual event in a community. I was pretty happy for taking part in this, and I wish I had more free time. Life has been busy for me most of this month which is good, but I felt like I had been neglecting this collaboration. So here it is... my gift to GRL.
Throughout these past few weeks spending time to research your RECords for a gift I stumbled upon your hearts drawings, along with your other creative pieces of photography and merch you've been making. To be honest GRL, I wanted to do something much more elaborate than you're getting above, it was a grand epic concept of a dancer traped much like in Beauty & The Beast and all musical dancing... but that would require more time, animation and storyboarding... and I've been swamped with a new job. But, I decided to go with a remix concept of GRL's "Heeearts" to see about some animation that maybe someone else might be able to use later on. I thought her illustration was great. I want to redo this later down the road, maybe for valentines day. Who knows. I'll upload the concepts soon and tag you in them because I felt like you were an inspiration as a special HitRECorder who does more than just photography or hitrecord merchandise.
Thanks everyone for an inspiring year, have a safe holiday and hope to get to recording with all of you soon.
EXCITING NEWS!
I am super stoked to announce that "Don Jon's Addiction" - the movie I wrote & directed - just closed a really great deal and it's going to come out all over the world!
This movie was made traditionally, as opposed to our collective collaborative process here at hitRECord. One day I do hope to make a feature film that way with you guys. I think the success that "Don Jon" has achieved so far will really help us in our future endeavors as a production company.
I do want to say that I have learned so much being hitRECord's Director - working on all of our short films & various other productions. I could not have done "Don Jon's Addiction" without all of the experience here on hitRECord & I owe you guys a lot!
Thanks...
And Thanks Again!

Thanks to Ozie for whiddling this score up last minute after much deliberation whether or not to have someone do it.
Raw footage for this coming soon and I'm filming the actual film on Monday! ;D
