HarriLucy's RECommendations
This is a 12' x 6' palette knife painting of the London Underground
So people were suggesting that I should make my previous video longer. I did although I did not succeed in finding people saying Repition. lol... so If someone wants to perhaps just speak into their computer mic or something, and say repetition, than I shall make a version numero trois! Awesome. Thank you everyone.

Remember playing with yo yo's when you were younger, imagine if a star were a yo yo, how dazed you would be, how much hope you would see of it... how safe you would keep it. Regardless of the day, the mood the star would always shine bright
Thought I’d carry out a little typographical experiment… this is my first RECord, so please be nice!

Nothing big
Nothing grand
Nothing useful
Nothing planned
Nothing smart, or at least not very
Nothing revolutionary
Nothing urgent
Nothing hot
Maybe quiet
Maybe not
Nothing hard
Nothing wet
Nothing naked, well not yet
Nothing witty
Nothing wise
No big deal
No first prize
Nothing solemn
Nothing set
Nothing much to give or get
Nothing now but me and you
Nothing more, thanks, that'll do

I wish there was a way to shout about this so that all the UK users could make suggestions and get on board. I think that towards the end of summer a London Event would be a good excuse to eat ice cream and to create things in real time, face to face with other awesome people. We could also screen stuff, display arts, create a little listening booth with some headsets, people could draw/paint/colour and collaborate in amongst the tables cluttered with magic cocktails and it could be fun and useful and inspirational. That’s a rant that is. |

I am entirely new to HITRECORD.ORG, so hello! I'm Sarah O, I write for money and I studied Media Production (film, print, radio) before completing a BA in Creative Writing (with English) at Roehampton University, London. I am wondering how many UK creatives are on here and how many of them are in (or able to travel to) London... Collaborating online is wonderful but how do the UK users of the website feel about an event that brought people together to make something? ...I'm interested in setting up an event to screen some of the audio visual stuff people have made on here (which they want to be screened in London) and I think we could also use the event to workshop ideas, paint, play music, do some live performance and stuff like that. There's no reason why we couldn't do a London HITRECORD.ORG event once a month if I found a juicy venue and if we got enough talent together we could even charge for tickets (splitting the profits 50/50 with the production company as is the Hitrecord way!) I'd love to know what everyone thinks about this -- people in the US, people in the UK and people who have already suggested this stuff... because someone probably has. All the best! Sarah |
