This is an introduction that I made for the Vinyl Initiative started by DrGory. My interpretation of what the project is going to be is some sort of talking heads style documentary about records, so I figured it needed some from of introduction. This is a first cut, using the RECords that have already been submitted to the collab page, but it's for all intents and purposes still a work in progress. I think I've managed to get all my resources listed, but if you notice that I've missed something please let me know. I'll upload all my own pictures shortly. Hope you guys like this.

Alright, so finally I got this to work!

Basiclly, this is a rough cut of a mini-doc I've edited together using the footage from the Vinyl Collab. It's not done - the sound levels aren't right, I want to go over it an and some more video layers so some of the talking bits and, perhaps most prominently, the transitions are not there. I've put some text in, that I thought bring a sort of narrative to the video, but of course that's up for remixing and what not. I am at the moment working on some of my transitions which are a mix of old school footage (mainly from the Prelinger Archives) and the RECords from the collab page.

But, I was thinking maybe people would want to contribute a transition or two? Or remix this video or whatever. And it would be great to get some feedback on it and whatnot.

Like I said, it's a rough cut (I managed to cut it down from it's mammoth length of 20min), but I hope you guys enjoy it nonetheless.

Thanks for letting me play with all your great stuff, I'm really enjoying this project.

Cheers!
xo

Ok, so I know this is far overdue (didn't mean to go AWOL on y'all) - but here is a new and slightly more polished version of my other video contributions to the Vinyl Initiative. I've added some more elaborate transitions between segments and fine tuned the testimonial parts of it. I hope I've gotten all the resources in there, let me know if something is missing. All the archive footage is from the Prelinger Archives.

Hope you guys like it!
