Daily's Piggy Bank
Gethsemane Released Sep 25, 2013

Daily jingled the small pink porcelain piggy bank he used to store the money his parents gave him on occasion. He looked forward to the moment when he had enough money to buy his daddy a very special gift. A look of

Daily banged his hand against the table, and swiped the coins...

Winding.
Twisting.
Snippets of light filter,
across the never-ending road.
Spots of rusted color,
paint the pavement's edges.
Signs of the lives,
that...

There it was. The biggest box I had ever seen sitting smack dab in the middle of my desk. A red bow sat on top of it with a tiny scrap of white taped to its corner.

My hands itched...

Wind.
Waves.
Solace.
The distant curl of land.

Ahh, the sweet reprieve,
as the water hits my toes.
The beautiful wonder,
of a world I want to call my own.
