*One for headphones!*
Krrr's beat leant itself really well to Tango! This is an idea I had: it could maybe use some instruments, particularly some super latin, super sexy violin? Part of the tune is an original Tango by Carlos Gardel (Public Domain, have a listen here http://archive.org/details/CarlosGardelPorUnaCabeza), I've marked which part it is in the lyrics below.
Lyrics:
GARDEL:
Por una cabeza // By a head
Todas las locuras // All this madness
Su boca que busca // Her mouth searches
Borra la tristeza // Erases sadness
Calma la amargura // Eases the bitterness
Por una cabeza // By a head
Si ella me olvida // If she forgets me
Que importa perderme // What does it matter
Mil vexes la vida // If I die a thousand times
Para que vivir? // Why should I live?
La luna // The moon
Fuego sale de mis unas // Fire sprays from my fingernails
Fuerza de mis amores // The strength of my loves
Y el aire en mis pulmones // And the air in my lungs
Sol claro // Bright sun
Un sentido muy rare // A very strange feeling
Acercate, mi amor // Come closer, love
Que te quiero amar // I want to love you
CHORUS:
Escondete en las sombras // Hide yourself in the shadows
En la oscuridad de mi cam // In the darkness of my bed
En mis besos y mis brazos // In my kisses and my arms
Olvidate un rato // Forget yourself a while
En este tango de amor // In this tango of love
(GARDEL)
Busco tus labios // I search for your lips
En el desierto de mi vida // In the desert of my life
Acercate, mi amor // Come closer, love
Que te quiero amar // I want to love you
(CHORUS)
Just one big fuzzy, (OUT OF SYNC?!) cloudy THANK YOU. Here's to 3!
So I stumbled across this short yet magnificent piece of music (The Slow Motion Dance Troupe) and felt the urge to sing. I would love to see this extended into a full song. I think it should have a smooth yet upbeat dance feel. I would like to extend the vocals out or leave it as a simple chorus and have someone else give it a go. I can always upload my vocals separately for someone to tinker with and I can always upload them without any effects as well if someone wants to rework the whole sound and feel.
Oh...and the sound quality might be off so try listening to it with headphones :)
The lyrics are meant to be sexy, simple and fun. I hope you enjoy and someone is inspired to make this into something more!!!
Weather permitted us to sing and dance in the street
lightning will spark from our feet
the thunder rose from our pulsating thighs
and fire will light up the skies
Body Heat! Body Heat!
rain will sizzle on the street
Body Heat! Body Heat!
the rain will sizzle on this paved street

Okay so I'm in love with the film "Oh, Brother, Where Art Thou". I love the feel you get from it and I especially LOVE the music. One song in particular is the Siren Song "didn't leave Nobody But the Baby". you can watch the clip from the film on youtube. Once you watch it you'll get an idea of what I have in mind for this.
Even though this is nothing like it I envision a group of people singing in harmony just like the 3 siren in the film. repetitive in nature but I want to hear it on a grander scale....with music that gradually adds and builds along with voices that gradually build as the song goes on.

So this is a song I wrote the other night. Not really a lot I can say about it ... hope you like it! Let me know what any of you think!
I just got Garageband, and decided to give it a try.
Original Score composed by Kyle Pollock.
Several months ago we assembled a team of 8 Resident Curators from the community to assist in featuring records. We were so pleased with how this initiative went and how it helped our creative process here at hitRECord that we decided to add more Resident Curators to the team.
These new Resident Curators have not only created exceptional records, but their recommendations have helped us collectively gravitate toward records that our production company can use. These artists have demonstarted a solid understanding of the direction our company is headed and it gives me great pleasure to present them to the community.
So, without further ado, I introduce to you hitRECord's new Resident Curators:

Loved Craig Sutherland's piano piece so I sang over it la la la. I feel like this could be expanded?
a bit different than usual, and some recycled old songs of mine.
Went to an old mans house today to buy some jars, turns out his entire house was full of old jars. The garage, backyard, living room, everything. He claims to have over 500,000 jars. He then gave us a tour of pretty much every type of jar he has, super eager to share everything he knows. Three hours later we left with the 12 jars we came for
