Des's Collaborations
|
There are so many things in life we just accept as innate, dogmatic, truth, etc. etc. Even those free-spirited ones accept some aspects of the norm. I thought of a fun collaboration we could do to play outside of the boundaries accepted reality. Let's create our own calendar. Whatever we want it to be. Change the month names, the month durations, add a magical new day of the week within one or more particular week, create a mini-month in between two months, even create new holidays within these magic months of our's. Being that this is a collaboration let's work together. Perhaps a way to start is to request a certain amount of time within our traditional Western calendar (i.e. the month of July, May 1st - May 20th, April 2nd, etc. etc.), then make a proposal of what you'd like to create with/for those particular days. We can then agree, edit, change; collaborate! If you have an idea that works with another idea, propose that as well! Perhaps we can then keep track on a blank calendar of the days we're reserving for each specific change until we finally cover all 365 days (one year, a complete orbit around the sun). We can then go to work designing calendar pages or other works of art representing our magical new days and months. :) |

See "Ballet Collaboration Explained" video. Basically, let's make a hitRECord version of a well-known ballet. |

I wanted to do a video project for this a few years ago (was planning one out about a year before I found out about hitRECord actually), but I sort of shelved the idea. I thought about it again recently and thought what a great collaboration it would be! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Rime_of_the_Ancient_Mariner |

For Passover this year, 2010, I'd love to see a multi-media, collaborative Haggadah. This project of course would be open for ALL hitRECorders and not just the Jewish ones :) I myself am not Jewish. I apologize to anyone following my Twitter or Facebook that might have inferred that I was. I try to explain as often as I can, but sometimes 140 characters or less can be limiting. I am, however, what I like to call "Step-Jewish". If anything, that always gets a good laugh, but what that silly title is trying to describe is that since the age of 13 , when my mother married my step-father, I've been included amongst the token goyim of my very Jewish step-family. So anyway, that's my background, what's your's? Feel free to share, or don't, but in the meantime feel free to contribute to the Haggadah 2.0 Collaboration! |

For TeaFaerie's Birthday Enjoyed the name and mythological reference from the year before so I decided to create a birthday thread for Tea this year in V3 under the same name. :) This collaboration is self-evident; a birthday collab for Tea's birthday. Now on with the creative birthday RECords! |
