Text_notecard_shadow_top_left (Apologies this Collab was intended to be up a while ago, but I just received my camera today after 3 months locked in some crazy ladies basement - poor thing)

Have you ever gone to a Public Bathroom and seen some crazy doodles, sayings all over the walls? Have you ever thought that it was clever, meaningful or kind of cool? Well... I have.

Personally, to me, Bathroom Graffiti is one of the last public domains of self expression. I always get excited, and nervous when I enter a Bathroom, who knows what crazy, mean-spirited or delightfully odd sayings and drawings will appear.

This is the place to post them. I'm sure there are millions of crazy Graffiti art waiting to be exposed.

Text_notecard_shadow_top_left Hello all,

We have something wonderful to tell you...
A group of us 7 HitRECorders, are heading to Europe together!
We will be staying in the UK and France, for 3 weeks in the beginning of November.

We plan to document the whole trip, create a large array of static art, make music and have a generally amazing creative experience, collectively and collaboratively ;)

What we are very much looking forward to, is meeting those HitRECorders in EUROPE!
If you are free in November and wouldn't mind coming to wherever we are for a visit, or if you are near a larger Metropolitan we would not mind coming to you.
We can create, talk, or let whatever happen, happen :)

We are trying to bring HitRECord to the people, face-to-face because that's where the true beauty of art is created, when we feed off each other and work.. collaboratively.

If you have any questions, just ask!!

please contact here if you want to privately talk about the trip or meeting up:

Text_notecard_shadow_top_left Re-Draw your childhood illustrations. :)
Or... draw as if you were a child! :)
Or... draw an illustration from one of your childhood writings!
Or... some of your childhood writings!
I think we could make some really interesting stories with this.

We are like stardust, but finer.
Even more so, as children.
Children, are like nebula's.

Examples to be shown...

If you want to post those drawings from your childhood go here:
http://hitrecord.org/records/173207 We'd love them!

Text_notecard_shadow_top_left As per MattConley's suggestion.

The point of this collab is to create a tiny yearbook of tiny people, and those tiny people are YOU the community of hitRECord!

-You submit a childhood photo.

-REsource a Text RECord, answering a set of pre-determined yearbook type questions. As in favourite quote, memory, color... etc.

-But, you have to answer from the perspective of the age you are in the photo.

-Also, submit proposed questions (yearbook-style). Then, as a democratic group, we can all chime in on the best questions to include.

So, to note... try and post a photo were you can, to some degree, recall some of your preferences. As infants generally go blaaaargh most of the time.
Infant Photo:
Favourite quote: blahaaaaaa.

Voila, folks... let's see what you all have to offer!

Text_notecard_shadow_top_left Let's create one heck of a female character! And make one heck of a short out of it.

Write down what you think would be needed for one interesting kick-ass female character.

Draw her! Too.

Then as we go along, we'll set it all up for one awesome short.

Let's all collaborate to create this story! I'm looking forward to some real girl power!

Text_notecard_shadow_top_left What would you put in a music video about your daily life?
Why don't we try and see!?

Make a little video/montage with some sweet music of your daily doings, or non-daily doings. Maybe things pertaining to you as an individual and such... video/montage that shows off the beautiful array of you-centric-ness that the world (hitRECord) deserves to see!
We can showcase them all here, showing what we want the community to see regarding us, a little music video about ourselves. A collaborative music video about the community of hitRECord! How does that sound?

I want to know you!...

Don't you want me to? :)

Text_notecard_shadow_top_left by Rudyard Kipling.

Who here loves Rudyard Kipling? Well, I do! I grew up with his "Just So Stories"
It is also Public Domain, which means...
Wouldn't it be wonderful if we collaborated to adapt one of his stories?
Can you just imagine the wonderful images, animation that could come from it?
With it's lyrical prose and rhyme, it was born to be narrated properly!

Shall we all work together on this?

I'll post my suggestion as to one of the stories that I would like to see worked on.

Here is a link to the stories, if you don't have them at home already :)

Text_notecard_shadow_top_left 80+ pages worth of material, shot out the door. So, now I'm asking you.

This was one of the first scripts I ever started to write, and now I'm letting you all in to figure it out!

Let's see if I can outline this...

When a group of scientists figure out a pattern of similarities/and other such things that accumulate from the actions of one person, living somewhere, they realize that they may have found a living, breathing "God". Someone who's very actions, and decisions, and choices contribute to the daily outcome of human society (Tremendous irony in that) . They have theorized, that a "God" has a regular human lifespan, and after his/her death that power is passed on to a newborn child, who's feelings, outcome and decisions (as all children) are as well formed by the actions of the previous "God". Is there, with this knowledge, a way to physically change the outcome of humanity, through the power of this one individual? If he can even realize it?
What will happen to some of the people involved in this study? How will their perceptions on the meaning of... well everything, change?

Many more questions arise from that as well, but I won't get into them.

Whenever I imagined the film, it always had a light feel to it. At times a quirky Documentary style, as these characters travel to the theorized locale of said "God" and begin to investigate his behaviour, while trying not to blow their cover. Like, the thrill seeking fun of Nature programs, but... God's the subject. They enlist the help of some old friends/acquaintances to film the study, and of course... each character brings something to the story.

I am committed to the idea that the "lead" of the story is a woman, whether she be a scientist or the Documentarian, I don't know. But, I'd really love to have a good principal female character.

Some other suggestions:
Unique instruments designed to analyze god-like behaviour, skeptical participants, interactions with "God" character... I have lots more to add, as I worked on this for over a year, but I prefer to leave it open and see what happens :).

I wrote most of the story while listening to "Vogliatemi bene" from Madame Butterfly... if that explains anything. Ha.
