I found today's coffee cup on my desk. It had all these interesting rings left in the cup. Apparently, each time I'd taken a drink and then not another for a while it made a ring. Like rings on a cut tree trunk. I photographed the cup. I then went for a run and while I ran I formed this concept. I imagined someone who has lost a lover. Now this person has no Sunday morning (any morning) partner. When he/she drinks their coffee there is no shared conversation or feeling of connectedness. At the bottom there is only sadness.
YIKES! I think I may be a depressive!! It could have been worse I guess, could've been a shot glass. Someone make a happy ending for these 2 will ya?!

Looking through one of the portholes (Windows) of the C-130 we were being transported in, during what was to become the most intense and scary flight of my life. From base to base throughout the tour, our gear was loaded for us by the troops and we would go from base to base via military air transport. Blackhawks, Chinooks, C-130s, and similar aircraft had become an every-day thing for us. We were given the same security and "VIP" treatment as the President and Vice President when they visit. There's definitely a "bad-ass" feeling that comes with a C-130's ramp opening up and you walking off the back into a base where troops and jeeps are waiting for you.
This is one image in a photographic documentary series. Please view the album here: http://www.hitrecord.org/albums/272859
Stella helped me with this:)
Inspired by missamerica's button bumper, thought this could be useful if we ever do anything with childhood/play/etc. It was originally 30 seconds which I thought was too long so I sped it up. If anyone wants the original for any reason, let me know.
