Tomorrow, July 7th, happens to my 26th birthday. It seems many of us here are have been turning 26 this year and after being inspired by the magical Lula's Painty Handed list of 25 things for 26, I decided to write my very own :)

Been shooting photos of my friends band as they record a new E.P. and just felt like hitting REC on this one...

This is Marley. Like Macy, she also came from a kill shelter in Tennessee. When I got her she was a little older than Macy, around 4 months old, had an awful case of worms and she had clearly previously lived in a situation where she was abused as she's still quite scared of men with deep voices or anyone who lunges at her too quick. She's a gorgeous dog, and can run at the speed of light. It's actually kind of hypnotizing to watch her sprint around and weave in and out of trees. This is one of my favorite pictures of her as a puppy :)

This is my very first baby. Vemelope Sweetie Pie Lover Lamb Chop aka "Mel" for short. She was named after my 4 yr old cousins imaginary friend the time. Mel is a Miniature Dachshund and has THE MOST personality of any dog I've ever owned. She makes me laugh on a daily basis.

Is there anything more innocently precious than a tiny foot poking out from a summery floral fabric?

This is my absolute favorite shot of my little Macy from Tennessee, the shelter pup as a little baby, and oh so tiny! She came to live with me when she was only 7 weeks old and was afraid of almost everything. Her favorite spot to be was directly under foot and was always looking to be cuddled. This is a shot only a couple days into Macy's new life with me, exploring the back yard, curiouser and curiouser...

This is my little Macy. Macy is a rescue dog from a kill shelter in Tennessee and she came to live with me all the way up in NY, along with one other dog from the same shelter. She has the most precious face ever. And she has mastered the "Huh?" head tilt!
