just collecting resources here, don't mind me... :)
This is my little instructional experiment,I know its not the most clear instructions but I loved how Joe described the hitrecord process in his welcome video so I just wanted to play with it :)

Hello there, This letter might be a little long... I’m writing it for a number of reasons, the first of which to apologise in advance for what will likely be quite a long absence from HitRECord. I found out at the end of last week that my mum is in hospital, and so towards the end of the week I will be going home to look after her and spend some time with my family. At home I don’t have an internet connection (i'm currently away at University), so sadly I won’t be able to come on HitRECord as often as I would like until probably late September. There is a few things I want to say while I have the chance... From the bottom of my heart I want to thank you all for a number of reasons. I’ve been here now a few months and RECorded over 100 RECords, so firstly thank you for being such a huge inspiration, creatively and personally. You have all really and sincerely saved a passion that was slowly dying in me, and I can’t thank you all enough. Secondly, thank you for being so amazing, not only for hitting the heart on my RECords but also for being kind enough to Remix them into some of the RECords you have made. I can tell you, hand on heart, that it means so much to have somebody like something enough to use it in a different context or to use it in a new creation, so thank you. Thirdly, thank you for all the amazing comments and support, and for generally being a kind, creative and wonderful community. As well as this, I want to thank you all for sharing with me some amazing pieces of art, in all its many forms. Seeing your talent and amazing RECords is not only inspiring but also gives me faith in ‘art’ in general, knowing that people can and will continue to create art not for money or for purely commercial reasons, but for love and passion, and not only this, but seeing that people can make amazing things together without much money or even without physically being together... it would probably be too much for me to say it's revolutionary and is the way forward, but it certainly feels like it. Thank you for giving me something to look forward to everyday, and for giving me opportunities I never dreamed of witnessing and being a part of, SXSW to name but one. It makes me really proud to be a part of such an amazing and talented community! I want to wish you all you all the best with the INCEPTION documentary which I have been so excited about and loved seeing come together in some way, and all the other wonderful collaborations and projects I might miss while I am away, and I look forward to seeing the finished results. Good luck! And also, thank you to all of the friends I have made so far. I could name you all but knowing me I would miss someone, but you all know who you are. I know people often question the idea of having real friends on the internet that you have never met in the flesh, but honestly, I have made some wonderful friendships so far and look forward to making many more. I know this sounds like a goodbye letter, but I didn’t want to randomly disappear towards the end of the week with no message or explanation as to why, I feel I owe you that much. I know I have not been as regular as I would like recently, and I apologise for this, but I will be back in September, hopefully with some new stuff to share with you all, and I look forward to seeing what might have happened from all of you while I have been gone. I’m sure I had more I had planned to write, but I’ll leave it at this for now... Once again, thank you so much for everything. See you all in the near future! John x |

A few things I love
I'm a major rookie at video, but I wanted to give it a try, sorry for the small voice I finally realize why I continually receive the response "What ?"

Thought I'd make a video for my contribution. Terrible image quality, but... hope you enjoy it!
I love this collab! Here is just a short collection of some of the things I love. I am still very much a beginner at video editing so this took awhile to put together and it's nothing fancy but I learned a lot making it. I hope you enjoy :D
i know this is not very 'instructiony' as a piece but i was suddenly inspired by joe's idea of making an abstract record about the collaborative process of hitrecord.
let me know if i've left out any resources

Thank you everyone for this. Your loves are so inspiring and beautiful! I love today.
This is my contribution to the I Love Collaboration! I have also included a file of some stock footage I used of my own to create it. Enjoy!
recorded in hiroshima, in the apartment where i lived and RECorded from march to november 2009.
it's a loopstation-assisted live take of a song i wrote with my friend, kara adams.
