[EDIT: The first tempo marking is dotted crotchet/dotted quarter. Sorry for any inconvenience caused!]

(I am, once again, also incredibly sorry about the quality; the only way to put it up was to print it out and scan it back in.)

OK, so this is once again a rough edit, but now with some added musical material to the crash scene, which has also changed (it's really awesome, Marielv!)

I know some people are saying that the music isn't melancholy enough, and that's cool. I just personally see this work as more darkly humourous than melancholy, mainly from the inflections GO uses when narrating it and the quirky animation style by Marielv. But hey, each to their own! Your opinion is as valid as the next persons', and if anyone has any ideas about changing the score or want to do it yourself, go for it! I'd love to know what can be made from this :D

I'd also love to add a little something extra for the couple of seconds where Fred's leaf flutters to the ground after the crash. In my opinion, while it's sad, it's also a wickedly humourous moment, and I think it needs something to highlight it, I just can't figure out what. Again, if you have any suggestions, or if you think otherwise, please say!

Calling All Musicians, specifically Pianists, Violinists and Woodwinds!

Do you wanna play on a score for a short animated film featuring Gary Oldman that will be screened at the Sundance Film Festival next week?

Well, here's what's going on! Our short film, The Man With A Turnip For A Head has a great original score written by musicinyouhead. We need to take her score that is performed on a synthesizer and transpose it to REAL instruments.

Here's what to do:

  • Listen to the score with headphones on and play along

  • Normally I am a fan of variation and deviation, but not this time. TRY TO PLAY AS PRECISELY TO THE ORIGINAL SCORE as you can because it specifically caters to every nuance and beat of Gary's voice.

  • Record your instrument seperately and contribute it to the collaboration.

The instruments are:

  • A REAL PIANO, with hammers and strings, no keyboards.

  • Violin

  • Oboe, but a clarinet or other woodwinds are good too.

  • If you play another instrument feel free to contribute it if you think it works.

Okay, we got just about a week to bang this out, and then we will be finished with one of our projects for next week :)

Thanks Again
