Here are two themes for the hitRECord adaptation of the Piped Piper story. Metaphorest’s take on the story was particularly inspring, and that combined with sojushot’s illustration and and LoFidelity’s animation.

I like the idea that Piper has a simple dream to receive recognition as a great performer, if even its just from rats. So in my musical telling of the story, I tried to capture two ideas… first, his concerto performance which leads the rats away… and then a introspective performance, which I call “The Magic Melody”. I imagine that this is a secret melody that actually gives him his powers. It would interesting for someone expand the story into how he came to discover the melody (perhaps handed down).
