This is from a series I did about a dream.

In the dream, my friend and I had murdered a man - and the punishment for that murder was to be taken to jail and put through a series or "Rites." One was to wear white with red paint on it, and sitting with others in silence, in a circle of a courtyard. The gravity of the situation came when I awoke, and could not possibly understand why I would ever muder anyone.

I guess the rite worked.
