I went to bed thinking about some action shots for this story and the one that struck me was the mounting and hanging of the head on the wall.
My thoughts on these characters is negative so this is proving hard to not go over board and make them completely despicable.
For the narrator the way I interpret the character is like an idiot that chews gum and pops bubbles while out hunting.
Why would any hunter shoot a horse? Unless they were starving or a psychopath that doesn't value life.
