There are jellyfish that live for ever. Did you know that? F-o-r-e-v-e-r! Just think about that for a second. That second just took a sliver of your life away. Sorry for reminding you... Forever is a long time. Forever is goddamn ages.

How do you plan for that? What could you possibly ever remember? Every memory a still frame of your existence stacked like luminescent dominoes awaiting a switch to go off in the basement of your brain. But I suppose there's not too much to remember in the water. Swim, eat, don't get eaten, procreate, swim some more.

But up here where we glide through air with relative ease, where we erect giant structures and mould the world around our every waking breath. Well, it's much the same isn't it? Sleep, eat, don't get eaten, procreate and sleep some more.

Or maybe that's just a simplistic view of it. We create, we share, we explore existence. Our minds get lost in time, in the patterns, in the silent consciousness. Maybe jellyfish do too. What do I know, I'm no expert.

Maybe they paint when we're not looking and plot the wobbling of the stars, cultivating egregious relationships so beautiful and complex that our cynical minds can't interpret their slippery grace...

But then what happens to those memories? What happens to those wobbly stars, do they paint pictures with time? Maybe all of time exists at the same moment in the mind of the immortal jellyfish. Condensed to one point. Connected to the past, to the future and to the present.
