I wanted an escape. We all did. Television provided that quick fix.  But we let our thirst take us over. We wanted more and more. Constant stimulation. No more free thinking, no more doing anything else. We sat and we stared and we didn't think. We became slaves to it and let ourselves be taken over.  Our escape became our prison and there was no breaking free.

But television is not to blame. Not completely. We are, for believing that we could turn off our minds without any consequences. You can only become mindless if you allow yourself to, and we did. We sat and we stared and we didn't think. We let ourselves absorb everything without asking any questions. And now we are lost.
