Hello MisterB and echolailanova... and welcome to this place we all call hitRECord. It has been a home for some of us for several years now, but I am grateful for every person here. I learn a lot from the beautiful people here and their creations. Thank you so much for hitting play on my record. I am glad that this record has found others that identify with how I feel...I too quit what I was doing... but that only lasted 6 months. I have no idea how you went 6 years. Glad to have you back to life and putting your energy out there for the world to feel. Thanks again... and again... welcome...

JOLYNNE, You gave a very humble, sincere, and honest answer on why you hitRECRORD. In fact, I watched it twice because, I can totally relate to what you said. "I hitRECORD because I need it."

Long story short... I wrote several feature length screenplays the last twelve years, they were very successful in script contests, they got me management, and after a while... I got so bummed and tired with the antics, reasons, and poor justifications on why Hollywood never considers great scripts from great writers!

It was then six years ago, I called it quits with my writing. I didn't want to, but there was no more motivation, but I still had a lot of stories I wanted to tell that would probably never be told. I archived all my scripts and other writings and thought that they would never see the light of day ever again.

I went for six years without writing anything. Nothing. Not even a page in a journal. It killed me deep down... because my words are my passion. Within the last year I realized that, "I NEEDED IT," and asked myself, how am I going to bring it back... We'll thanks to Joe and and stumbling upon hitRECORD, I am so proud to say that after six long years, I have written three writing pieces for hitRECORD! All in one week! And I just recently joined.

It is here, this site, is what I needed to help bring my words back to life. I never, ever, expected to this. And because of this... I went into my dusty 'ole archives and download all my screenplays on to my mac. I think this is the best creative therapy an artist can get. And you know what? I'm falling in love with this site more and more each day!

This is very cool, I can relate to a lot of the things you said here. I'm not into sports, cooking, etc. but I feel most myself when I'm playing music - either solo or with other people. There's a wonderful experimental music community in my neck of the woods, and it's awesome to have recently stumbled upon this wonderful experimental art community here on HitRECord too.
