I went trough the contributions and mixed them into this, just for fun :) I fell in looove with all the accordion tracks people have uploaded!! (most of the stuff starts after the first chorus-thing so if you're impatient and busy, start from 1.10! :))


I would have wanted to add some more stuff from here and there, but since everyone haven't uploaded the stems of their contributions yet, I couldn't... 


Like you can hear I dropped out the 3rd bridge/chorus thing, firstly 'cause I forgot I made it in the first place, and secondly 'cause I think it might be too much... but this is still in process! :) I got this idea for the ending from Robo_J's rough mix.


Please, let me know what you think! Do you think we should add more vocals or drop some accordions or percussion or something else? I thought about this song for a while and I personally think it would suite the song better if we'd keep it as fresh and "poppy" as possible. Because of the melody and the "i-don't-give-a-shit" -way it has to be sung, it's really easy that the song might lose it's energy and start sounding lazy or "angsty". But again, that's only my opinion, let me know yours! And as always, feel free to remix this! :)

    I definitely like the pop happy sound to it. I agree that it can be turned to an angry song but i love this sound. It adds some irony to it. Diggin it.

    I need to spend some time listening to the additions people have contributed, I like this 3rd verse addition, perhaps heavy on the scatting, or perhaps would be even more powerful with added scats/dobbie-doos, not sure.

    I desire to add percussion and background vocals, if I can get them recorded and uploaded by final time requirement, although I don't know how soon it needs to be. I just found the track today from hitRECord's twitter feed and the new request to collaborate. I'm new to the site, I'm more funky than pop-py, but this track is adorable.

    I'm actually just hearing this song for the first time (I don't know how long it's been up here/been worked on, but I've been away from the site a lot lately, so I haven't been keeping up) and I adore it! It's very clever. :) I listened for balance in the instruments and other sounds, like you asked for, and I think it sounds really good. I don't think it would be hurt at all by more accordion between the two verses and the chorus-bridge-- I wouldn't have minded hearing a stronger accordion presence-- but overall it's pretty solid as-is. Great work!
