Tuesday, why do you mock me?

You don't have the excitement of a Monday, nor are you really working towards the weekend.

If I were climbing a mountain, you'd be that very steep bit on the way to the top, when I'm out of breath but there's nowhere to rest.

You're a thirteen-hour working day, followed by a run where I work on my speed.

Your end, however, is a massive achievement. The top of the mountain, where somebody's placed a little bench so I can best admire the view, before I make my way down to Wednesday with aching legs and a sense of relief.
