There once was two brother hawks named Isaac and Alec. Isaac was destined for greatness, following in his father's flight. He was to rule the skies over a wonderful, green forest. He was the fastest hawk his age, had the best aim when catching prey, and the most handsome brown feathers. Alec was slow with speed, had horrible aim and had dull, dark feathers. He was filled with jealously as he always fell in his brother's shadow. However, there was one thing where Alec overruled his brother. He was much wiser and was often found listening to the elders tell stories about the world and it's dark secrets.
One day the two brother's were out for a royal hunt when they came across a new creature. This creature had no fur nor scales. They walked around on two legs, like a bear when it feels threatened; while carrying long, shiny objects. Alec quickly scanned his memeories and could recall the eldest hawk telling stories of creatures with mighty power - but that power was deadly and not to be messed with. The younger hawk watched his brother look upon the creatures with curiosity.
An idea struck Alec. A terrible, but great idea. He told his brother on how he had heard of these creatures and they were the most powerful creatures; there was nothing that could compare. Isaac, so filled with pride, laughed at his brother. This was nonsense - he WAS greatness. He would show these creatures who was really better. He told Alec to prove these creatures wrong with him. The two brothers took flight and swooped down upon the creatures, whom ducked to the ground. As the two brothers rounded back to attack again the creatures stood their ground and lifted their shiny objects toward the two birds of prey. Alec saw this opportunity to flee and desert his brother.
A loud noise rang out followed by a shrieking cry; echoing in the once quiet woods. Isaac fell but Alec was not the victor for long, being quite slow a second bang rang from the shiny object. Alec shrilled as a pain erupted in his chest. As he fell to the ground darkness swallowed the green forest he once called home.
Alec now spends his days sitting next to his brother, Isaac. The two of them watch the creatures who stole them from their forest on a shelf as dust collects on their feathers. No one is the better bird now.
