It’s not as though I never loved you,

With your death,  my love dissolved over  time...

It was never my intention to lose you, it just happens as time passes by...

I learnt to bury you, effortlessly.

As my tears escape me, as this grief diminishes,

As my love for you withers,

It surpasses me,

With your death.

This  mourning  pierces your memories until there is no more...

It all fades into the present.

The grief demolishes the insides till there’s nothing left,

It may seem like I never loved you,

As my love perishes in time,

My tears draw to a close.

The guilt deepens inside till there’s nothing left...

But, your death passing me by...

Then I’ll confess it was never my intention to lose you.

It’s not as though I never loved you...

I’ve just surrendered to time.
