I know something is really inspiring me if I write it on my hand. It drives my parents nuts because apparently writing on your hand is the gateway drug to prison tattoos and a life of crime.
I know science says we’re 75% water, but I think I’m at least 50% coffee on most days.
In 7th grade I had an art teacher that chose to see the negative in everything I did. Because of her I didn’t make art for two years.
I’m decently sure that I will never like Monday’s. Or mornings.
I met Stan Winston once by accident. He took a photo with me. I still get a goofy smile on my face when I think about it. I cried when he died.
From the summer of 2005 to the summer of 2006 I was a page at Paramount Pictures. The job gave me the worst farmers tan of my life.
I’m pretty sure I’ve seen every episode of Friends a countless number of times. Phoebe will always be my favorite.
I don’t believe in auteur theory.
The kiln at my store once overheated and melted every ceramic inside. I kept a square flowerpot that melted into a diamond shape and got a heating stilt stuck to the bottom of it. I still have it.
My favorite color is orange. I don’t know why, but it’s a color that makes me happy.
I named my cat Marty after Scorsese & McFly.
I’m not sure what political party I associate myself with, but I can guarantee you it’s not Fox News.
A few years ago I was too sick to go to Disneyland with my friends, so they printed out my picture, cut me out and put me on a stick. They carried me through all of Disneyland and had tourists and cast members take pictures with me. I didn’t know until they put the photos on facebook days later.
I desperately want to go to New York City and Paris. I currently have no idea when I’ll get to either.
A single Bible verse got me through the health problems when I was a kid. I still have it memorized. “And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations; because tribulations produce perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.”
I want to learn French and Italian so I don’t have to read subtitles on some of my favorite films.
I love seeing movies in the theater, even bad ones.
I really want to own a hoverboard someday despite the fact that I’d probably break my other wrist trying to learn to ride it.
I will never own enough shoes.
Billy Wilder is my favorite director but I can’t remember if I saw Sunset Blvd or Double Indemnity first...I just remember seeing one of those films and falling so in love with what I was seeing that I ran out and found every Wilder DVD and flashback screening I could. Am I a Billy Wilder fangirl?
I didn’t become a writer until it occurred to me that I was the only one that was going to be able to capture the story I wanted to tell.
I’m easy to make happy. To cheer me up you only need to give me one of the following: a good movie, a hamburger, Beatles music, or an ice cream cone.
I didn’t realize I was an introvert until college. I fought back the worst of the shyness when I became a Page. It’s amazing what happens when you suddenly have to entertain non-english speaking tourists for two hours.
I’m still searching for a job but the only thing I want to do is get my movie made.
I loathe exposition. And flashbacks. And bad voice overs.
