The Beginnings were tired of being unappreciated. Too often they were deemed unimportant and not worthy of remembering. It was always the Ends that took all the credit. The Beginnings were something to be looked back upon once in a while, simply for comparison to the Ends. And Middles! Don’t even start about the Middles! That was where all the substance was really, where all the action and adventure took place. Everyone always remembered what the Middles were about. Then one day, the Beginnings made a realization: the Ends weren’t really “endings” at all, they were simply transitions into new Beginnings. They began to see themselves as the vital part of the story that they were: without a Beginning there would be no stories at all. |
