Beginning (For the 10min Writing Challenge Collab) I ‘ve had a lot of beginnings in my life, at the age of 3 I moved with my family from Costa Rica to Nicaragua, then at the age of 10, I moved back from Nicaragua to Costa Rica, I lived there until 2009 that I came back to Nicaragua, when I was a little girl, I didn’t care about that, I just follow my parents and I was able to adapt to anything, but when you grow up, and you have to make changes in your life, and say good bye to your friends, family or environment, is really hard. New friends, new university, new life, you have to learn how to survive in a place that even when it’s familiar to you, in some ways is completely strange. You have to learn where to take the bus, where to go in the morning to take a walk, you have to start the process of knowing people and make “new” friends, and try to keep close, to the friends that you left behind, is not easy, but it’s possible, fortunately I am not shy at all and it’s been easy to make new friends and to learn how to understand the ups and downs of the new city where I am living. In fact, now I can say that I love the beginnings, beginnings means Opportunities, and with the opportunities, new windows and doors open and the possibilities of experience new things are waiting in every corner, every street and every day. I consider myself a free spirit, I think that the world is my home, and there are no frontiers, I can’t be tied to one place for a long time, I am always looking for new streets, new people, new opportunities, I suppose that this is one of the things that I learn from all the beginnings in my life. |
