10 minute writing challenge. “Beginning.” Ready.... and.... go!
Beginning. I’ve heard when telling a story, it’s the best place to start. But most of my stories start in the middle and fade back into the ether before I can invent a beginning. But what do I know about beginnings? Because I first came here in the middle of a story so old the beginning has become a mystery. For me it’s just, “I’m beginning to see your point now,” or “I’m beginning to understand.”
A new day is beginning, but for me it’s near the end. Every moment can be a new beginning if you don’t get caught up searching for the right beginning. Well, if it’s true for life, it should apply to writing stories as well.
Now I feel myself beginning to dream, slip, slipping away, but before you’ve come back. Oh too soon, too soon, the beginning has begun.

Thanks for doing this, tori! It's a little scary to post any thing so unfinished or unrepresentational of something I would consider "reader- worthy." But I think it's a great practice, and I intend to do each one you post. I think this is a good collab, so thanks again <3
