There is so much I could learn from you

How you smile when you enter a room

All eyes so happy to have found you.

I listen to you speak and I have to close my eyes

Every word I ever said has just made some pointless noise.

There is so much I could learn from you

You take command with just a hand in the air

And everyone falls into line and under your spell.

Anytime I try to make a stand

Even those who love me fail to notice

So I slip quietly out the backdoor and away. 

There is so much I could learn from you

But what would ever become of the real me?
