I've seen lots of images that combine together ideas from several records and I wanted to apply that to text. Thanks to all the original authors!
Each day begins with the sunrise. God you shine so bright. Scribble down the plans. A simple To-Do list format. We need to move forward. We need to get shit done. Make the coffee. Eat the toast. Lock the door. Drive the car to work. Bury the events of last night. Forget the moments that didn't go along with the plan. Erase the points that weren't on the To-Do list. A quiet evening. A wild evening. Her soft skin. A riverbed between her shoulders. Whispering "I'm right here and you're here. It's ok." The stars fell outside the house leaving sparkling droplets behind. Stare at the blank screen. Search for the decision. Beg for clarity. Dear God, give me sight. Ignite something. Make the world stop buzzing. Tell the city to stop screaming. Turn off the computer. Leave the job. Sit through the traffic. Park the car. Order the Chinese food. Find the To-Do list. It scolds like an unfortunate report card. You fucked up son. Grab the list. Crumple the list. Rip up the list. Throw the scraps in the fire. When does life ever go according to plan? This is my hope. My dream. My goal: I will marry you one day Each day ends with the sunset. And when the day is done, I will follow you into the sun. |
