Don’t run!

 I promise I won’t hurt you.

My name is Russell and I am a lot less scary than I look.

You see people always run from me because I will eat them, but it is not true.

I won’t eat you, I am actually a vegetarian.

 Ever since I was little I knew I was different, I never roared like the other dinosaurs nor was I big or very strong.  

I always get picked on at school, the other dinosaurs made fun of me for burying a ladybug that I accidently sat on. 

I cried for weeks; an innocent life gone because I didn’t care to look behind me. 

My best friend, Sherman the sheep, says not to worry about it and that it was just a ladybug. I meet him at the funeral and he is my only friend. He knew the ladybug too and almost ate it by accident. 

Don’t feel bad for me I have plenty of friends; but they don’t talk back. 

Like this daisy,it doesn’t make fun of me or criticize me.

The petals wave in the wind like it knows what I am talking about.

 Achoo!

My parents say I am destined to be this mindless killing machine, but I am no murderer. 

I am just Russell, and I wouldn't hurt a butterfly.
