So far this song is really coming along and we’ve had some amazing contributions to the collab, and I want to say thanks to you all for contributing. What I’m really looking for right now to finish it up is more horns & background noise. 


Krrr was kind enough to transcribe and upload the horn parts for the collab, so you horns player have a great resource to figure out which notes should be played. Still please free to improvise as well. 


We still have plenty of space for background noise. Dr. Gory hit the nail on the head when he referenced Marvin Gaye’s song “Got to Give it Up”. We’re looking for people’s reactions to the music and as if you are interacting with the band. When recording background noise I would recommend focusing on the open spots where I Am 1954 isn’t singing and on the intro and outro.  Thanks again everyone!

    @librarygirl6 Yes please get your hands on a trumpet. Steal it if you need to.

    @todd68976 I see what your saying but the trio but right now they are a foundation to creating a bigger backdrop to the song. I'm going for more of a live jam session with this one.

    @Dr. Gory I'm really happy that your digging the direction with this one. Once we have more horns going I'll adjust the vocals lines if need be. Right now its got this back and forth between I Am 1954 and ozie which is really focal point right now so will have to see where the horns fit in.

    If we were in the same room I'd be punching you in the shoulder right now out of sheer excitement! This is wonderful!

    We definitely need more background noise to open up the intro and outro a bit. I LOVE the ending comment - so soulful.

    IT NEEDS REAL HORNS - I Am 1954's vocals are really spectacular but right now they are the featured - I'd assume the horns will take a bit of that roll over?
