RE RECS for Sunday, May 27 2012
Hi guys! Hope you are all doing great! This week we had a lost in our community, honeyboy is not here with us anymore, he is not here physically, but he always will be in our hearts and in our memories and in every heart that he gave us at HR. RIP dear, we’ll miss you!
Said that, here you have my RE RECS for this week, we have a lot of great collaborations this week, the community is very active lately and I love to see everybody working and contributing, so keep doing it guys!! :)
RE RECS:
- A sunrise for Niko & Inky (RIP Honeyboy) by Fractaldust: We have a lot of beautiful records for honeyboy at HR, but this one is one of my favorite, it was made by Dusty and I think that it’s one of the most beautiful and magic pictures that I ever seen, there’s not much more to say about it. Love it Dusty!
- Hitrecord minimalist logo and icons by epocadofim: Great ideas for logos and icons for hitrecord, I love the style and the colors, I think that they are all great resources for videos, remixes, banners and posters, even for the summer collection 2012, great contribution epocadofim.
- Hitrecord on strings by HorrorShock666: HorrorShock took an old drawing and re made this into a new RECord, which for me is fabulous, this is what remixes are about, you can look through hundreds of records at our site and make fantastic remixes like this one, great job!!!
- Friend ship – A Tiny Story by tootwofoursquare: I love this tiny story, I think that is brilliant and that it needs some remixes and illustrations, I think that the way how tootwofoursquare played with the words is great and the result was better yet! :)
- Hitrecorderly#2 – album art – v2 by belcath1981: Belcath is one of my favorite remixers at HR, she always found the best way to make remixes and especially she always choose the right colors and textures for her remixes, this one is amazing, she made one more, but this one is my favorite, great job as always belcath!
- Kampaign Bunny v2 by sinnamin: I love the bunnies, the whole album makes me smile, sinnamin just did a great job doing all these bunnies for us, I insist, they must be featured, are you hearing me curators? Haha anyway, she made this one for Kampaign and now is one of my favorites, I think that is great, lovely and perfect! :D
- Life & Death (Diane Remix) by Sabine: Sabine, made this wonderful illustration for Diane’s Life and Death, which by the way is a fantastic Tiny Story, I also recommend that if you didn’t see it yet! Sabine did a great interpretation of this story, I love that it’s in black and white and the way how the image explain the TS is awesome! :D
- Videos: Hitrecorderly Opening by Ryan Patrick & The Hitrecorderly Arrives by themetafictionist: I love to see other Hitrecorders receiving HR things, in this case I choose this 2 videos one of Themetafictionist and the other one of Ryan Patrick opening for the first time their Hitrecorderly, I think they are awesome and through their video, express how passionate we are about HR, I love Ryan’s beginning, falling from the chair, Haha, it was so funny! Love both videos so they are both in my RE RECS this week.
- Like the best hug evaah! By mirtle: the amazing mirtle did it again, what a beautiful illustration!! I think it’s so sweet, and the title is perfect, because it really looks like the best hug ever! Love it Mirtle you are awesome!
- Map maker Map maker by MelonBerri: this is a fantastic illustration made by MelonBerri for Wirrow’s Tiny Maps Remix, I always enjoy melonberri’s drawings, she is so talented and this record is the perfect example of that, great illustration as always!!!
- Phlegethon (one of the 5 rivers of Hades) by Saintmaker: Another of my all-time favorites, saintmaker, I love this illustration, the colors and the way how he transform this picture is just fantastic, it looks like a magical place, great job as always dear!
- Kid’s Monster Tee album by brookeduckart: Kids T-Shirts for the summer collection 2012? Yes please, but hey, they are not just for kids, we can use them too, anyway, Brooke had a great idea with this collection for kids, and I think they are all adorable and that we need to have at least one of those for our summer collection 2012.
- Boy on bike animation v2 by MadCharacter: Great animation and I love that it was made with a green background, I can’t wait to see what great remixes and animations are going to come out from this great resource! Animators and remixers, I am waiting!!! :)
- Safta by Tahiva: I think this is just a wonderful drawing, in the description said that it was a portrait of her grandmother, Tahiva shows her fantastic talent through this beautiful drawing, I can’t wait to see more!
- The Invisible Family Dog – Tiny Story by ThadicalRadical: Great record for a fantastic idea, we have to create an invisible family, we have collaboration already made by ThadicalRadical himself that is the one that had this brilliant idea, so I hope that more hitrecorders join it and make their contributions! This illustration is my favorite so far, great job.
- The Stairwell by sojushots: Another hitrecorder that doesn’t stop of amaze me, Every time that I think that I have my favorite drawing, he came and make another one more fabulous than the last one, soju you are awesome and this is beautiful!! BRAVO!
- Travel by Radio (Illustration Remix) by aimeecanto: Fabulous remix!! Aimee did a fantastic job with the resources that she chose for this illustration of this tiny story made by Day Glo, it’s like if we can see the same couple in different times of their lives, but at the end they still in love, at least that’s what I feel when I see this illustration, great work aimee!!!
Music Recommendations: Blazing Star by Pamagotchi & the Remixed ballet by jcpeterson: Wonderful songs from 2 wonderful HR musicians, I recommend them both, please listen to them again and again. :D
