Look through the window. This house was the victim of arson. The entire roof and back of the home is burnt to a crisp.

No, I don't think they should be a problem. In fact, their clarity could enhanced a little more if such was the case. Maybe I'll try a REmix in Photoshop Lightroom with it's darkroom features.

Interesting idea on grayscaling it. The only thing I'd be concerned with is the black beams blending in with the blue sky and not standing out as much. But sounds like a REmix is on the horizon...
