So you know how a scientist will have a meltdown just before making some awesome discovery?

I had a meltdown yesterday.

I won't go into specifics, but FCP went and shat all over my edit of S&S, and I nearly put my head down and cried. 

I had a previous copy of my edit (unfinished) that I was trying to work from, recreating what I had done, but it was so painstaking that I started a new edit altogether.

And then I gave up and went to bed.

...

But this morning (at 4:22 to be precise ;)  ) I woke up with an epiphany. (no, I did not say 'Eureka!' I think it was more like 'Fuck me!)  

And my epiphany was this:   I could edit it 300 times and never come up with the same edit twice. 

And that got me thinking about the other edits on the site, and well…I just decided to mash them all together and see what came out of it. 

I was going to do 2 edits myself, but luckily Marcelle put up a version this morning and I thought, 'BRILLIANT!'.

So this, my friends, is an edit done by themetafictionist, velocity, marcellepallais and myself.  I didn't use any angles from the EX3 footage other than in my own cut (but I'll resource the ones I used anyway).

What you see here is what we all edited individually.

I'll put my separate cut up as well, so you can all have a go at remixing it.

p.s. I find it fascinating that at some points we all chose the same angles...

p.p.s. I'm also resourcing librarygirl6's edit of 'Scrimp and Save' becuase I think watching that a couple days ago was what helped me get here.
