Brothers’ Grimm version that includes two wolves
Little Red Riding Hood. Her very name conjures up the image of the female sexual organ, the clitoris. The only function the clitoris has is sexual in nature. A tiny bud made of millions of nerve endings that is very sensitive to touch and the primal cause of sexual pleasure during intercourse.
LRRH is told to walk “carefully, slowly and sweetly” she is not to draw attention to her virgin state. Her red cape symbolises the colour the clitoris becomes when the young woman is aroused and the clitoris has become swollen and engorged.
The wolf, representing carnal sexual desire, notices LRRH and is instantly attracted to her. He distracts her by means of the beauty of the forest and plots on her to bed her.
He tricks her elderly and sick grandmother into letting him in, promptly eats her and dresses up in her clothes. By doing so, he has made his raw sexuality less frightening and easier for LRRH to succumb to.
LRRH is giddy with happiness, she has explored the wood on her own and her arms are filled with flowers for her grandmother. She finds the wolf in her grandmother’s clothes and instead of running away she engages in conversation with it. The wolf’s plan has worked and LRRH is flirting with female sexuality. The wolf quickly devours LRRH, the sexual act could be interpreted as cunnilingus, seeing how he devours her with his mouth and then she is fully taken by him, illustrated her being physically inside him but not dead.
The huntsman does not approve of female sexuality being explored and is alerted to this by the loud snores coming from the wolf after he has been sexually fulfilled. He cuts open the wolf, releases the grandmother and LRRH and kills the wolf by filling his belly with stones. He addresses the wolf as “sinner” further evidence that exploring female sexuality is associated with sin. By wearing the dead wolf’s skin on his back, the huntsman has suggested that only men are capable of conquering sexuality and LRRH has learnt that female sexuality is unconquerable by women alone and the only way to do so is through the manipulation of men.
