Hello, I am very new to this community. I found it after hearing an interview with Joseph Gordon Levitt.
This is a song I wrote and recorded in 2005, with additional guitar by my friend Dan Ronco. I always intended to add more lyrics, and expand upon the song and harmonies. It's still a pretty decent demo and I am proud of this song. I am offering it up, to this community, because I believe in its mission. I believe this song can be transformed into something amazing.
If you have any interest in collaborating with additional lyrics, or assisting in song composition, additional instrumentation/vocals, please let's work together.
The lyrics (so far) are below:
Verse 1: I'm in love with the light inside your eyes,
It lays me down (It lays me down)
Now your path has taken you to the skies;
I'm on the ground (I'm on the ground)
chorus:
The days go by and I ask myself why do I
mourn for your light when it leaves my sight
Though I can see it right in the early morning sky,
Stargazing.
Verse 2:
Now the waves crash against a youless shore
A lonely sound (A lonely sound)
chorus: The days go by and I ask myself why do I
mourn for your light when it leaves my sight
Though I can see it right in the early morning sky,
Stargazing.
