It's no secret that the Vinyl Collab is one of my all time favorites. I was quite absent for a while and when I came back, the first thing I did was to take a look at the collab page and there was a lot of material to be used (including awesome stuff like pamagotchi's "living sound" and Ryan Patrick's great voiceover that I really had to use). So I decided to compile everything and make a very extended version of the doc. It's about 9 minutes long and there were still things left out.

I wanted it look like a casual conversation between record lovers.

Hope you enjoy!

May - I do plan to keep working on this doc. I think it would be great if we had more footage and interviews (especially interviews). Your help is much appreciated.

And I agree with both Gary and you on that line. I'm gonna read your new intro right now.

p.s. all though i love ryan's voice over, (great voice for it) I agree with garry lee. If we're calling this a documentary, we definitely can't say that a record has qorse sound quality. TECHNICALLY, a vinyl record is the best sound quality there is. The only reason people think it's worse is because it is so vulnerable to scratching and warping.
I would be very weary of using that line in the documentary.
Anyhow, maybe I will write up a new narrative, see what can be done.

Looking great. I've still got more clips of people dancing to records and another interview. I can upload those if you plan to keep workin on this.

    Hi Gary,

You made some very interesting points in your remark. I'm glad you took time to watch the video and to express your opinion.

My intention was to compile everyone's thoughts on this subject, with the material that had been posted so far. As I said before, I'm sure there are still many things that can be discussed to make it a richer documentary.

Talking about what's behind this industry and all the social/cultural/economical aspects of it was something that I wanted to include, but I believe that we just don't have enough material yet.

And I agree with you when you say that record collectors are friendly and people actually help each other.

It would be really nice if you could write or record something about this, so it can be included in future versions. A good doc shows different perspectives of the same subject, so new ideas are always welcome.

If you could also film your favorite store, your collection and yourself listening to your LPs, it would be a great help too.

    Thanks!
