Here is audio taken of my unborn baby's heartbeat. It beats at about 140 beats a minute (it takes a few seconds to get to the actual heartbeat in this audio clip.)

It's a life-changing experience to hear this for the first time and it's such an amazing sound.

A rap verse based on "Inception" put to the third section of phonontek's "Ain't Nuthin'" beat. Blast this in your system until your neighbors call the po-lice.

See if you can catch some of the references to the movie and its characters.

Lyrics are in a separate RECord and REsourced below.
Mypicture_5863Mypicture_5863
This is a REmix of Kampaign's "Lil Sumthin." I rap on the second verse and the allusions to "Inception" are prevalent throughout, hence the new title: "Mind Extractors."

There are some minor changes to the opening and I played around with Phonontek's beat a bit. I added sound effects to my verse but left Kam's verse as is.

I'll upload a separate RECord with the lyrics.

Any non-hitRECord sound effects are from here: http://www.a1freesoundeffects.com/

Continuing to build off of lava_tornado's "feet first" and Babbish's "Battlin Beats." There's a verse by me in the middle. I decided to call this version "BATTLEstars" because I added some science fiction elements for whatever reason.

I basically integrated my verse into the "Battlestar Beat" RECord (REsourced below) but I did trim down a section of that and added some slight modifications, namely a ray gun sample from www.sounddogs.com.

I'm working on a hip-hop theme to the fictionally insane Vincent McSuperfly, the rambunctious host of hitRECord's "REmix Theatre."

This is v1 of the beat. theboxset's "Buddy" has been heavily REmixed and I made room for several breaks where additional vocal samples will be added (including a "radio station identification" announcement.)

In the meantime, be on the lookout for the two McSuperfly "Haaaaaaa" samples. Those were fun to throw in to the mix.

Lyrics for the next stage of this track are in the works. I'll post what I have so far for verses.

Remixed KamPAIGN's "vision acca" into a remix of HashbrownStephens' "What's a matta you?" beat.

The instrumental remix is uploaded separately and is in the Resources bin.

I added some xylephone and keyboard samples over a loop from HashbrownStephens' "What's a matta you?" record.

Picture_3Picture_3

I have a thing for sci-fi rap, so I remixed Grammer's acapella from "Dream Girl" and rearranged his lyrics to go with the remix I did of nalonpatrick's "burrow" instrumental.

NebulullabyNebulullaby

Just fuckin around with Asylum 7 & Eddie Logix's "Resistance." REmixed the instrumental again and threw in a verse and some sound effects from Jordan Johari's "MONOCTOBER" RECord.

I do all my audio editing in Final Cut so my options for voice distortion are limited, clearly evident in my inability to match the same kind of effects on Asylum 7's voice. This'll have to be considered a rough draft, or a "v1" as they say.

I'll post lyrics separately.

New_hevn_coverNew_hevn_cover

Assembled an abridged version of RegularJOE'sreading of wirrow's "A New Hevn" and rearranged portions of Johnnyclyde's "Electric Winter" to form a teaser of the complete story.

Remixed the stems from "Night Owl Drums Amped" by theboxsets and sampled dialogue and various audio bytes from "Sound and the Story (1956)" from the public domain. Figured it would make an interesting contribution to "The Vinyl Collaboration."

Lots of REmixing and REpetition in this track.

I sampled OldTapeGhost's "Beyond the Zero" instrumental and did some changes to the beat. Then I heavily REmixed la.jeune.vieillesse's "Roving Away" reading with several REoccurring themes:

"Life is but a dream"
"The Earth goes round"
"Listen to the sounds"
"Plant your feet on the ground"
"From cities to towns, they drown out the stars"
_mg_1126_mg_1126

A hip-hop beat constructed out of samples from ruary's "Black Sponge." This is a base layer that can be extended with new sounds or arrangements or it can be added to as is.

SheepSheep
Lots of REmixing, layering, scratching, and sampling. Please add more to this.

I'd especially like to see some dialogue samples and additional sound effetcs to the arrangement. Who's up for it?!
BoomboxBoombox

Heavily REmixed evolver1980's "Evolution of Rhyme" acapella and lava_tornado's "yellow light" instrumental into one old school-type track.

This could definitely use additional sound effects and instruments. Join in!

Here's a track I put together by remixing "sleep sleep deep" by theboxsets and sampling "The Yin and the Yang of Mr. Go."

I cut some video to this remix for my 11.27.11 RE/RE/RE-RECommendations, but here is the audio isolated for the community to play around with.

I've been working on a live "stage reading" version of rcjohnso's "The Man In the Herringbone Hat" featuring the voices of Philip Baker Hall and Channing Tatum for quite some time now.

This latest version (the 4th incarnation on my end) has more auditorium ambience (theatregoers entering and getting situated, the orchestra tuning their instruments, etc.) than previous ones. Additionally, there are now sound effects added to the production.

Angelpro_geoAngelpro_geo

Rearranged elements of Erfo's "No Dreams" and theboxsets' "True2theGame80 BPM" and combined them into a hip-hop narrative of sorts.

This could use additional sounds and some visuals.

Here is just THE BEAT to "The Peff Lab." There are some sound effects already included, but this is the basic template to add vocals to.
Screen_shot_2010-06-23_at_3.23.29_pmScreen_shot_2010-06-23_at_3.23.29_pm
jeffpeff and RegularJOE are the instrumental. I am the vocals and sound effects guy.

This is titled "(v1)" because I'd like to build on this add add other verses to it.

As it stands now, my verse ends and there are some slight police radio effects that could serve as a transition into a new rap verse (and as Shaq declared on a track with The RZA: "We don't need no hooks.")

So, anyone who wants to join in on this - PLEASE DO. I looped the beat for quite a bit and at around the two minute mark it goes into the final break and fades out with a few more sound effects.

Note: I used mostly sound effects by artists on hitRECord. A few I got from this royalty free site: http://www.a1freesoundeffects.com/
Shadow_hug_copy2Shadow_hug_copy2

Quick 9 second beat for the weekly RE-RECommendation collaboration. Maybe this could be used in a promo for the collaboration or for the intro to people's weekly RE-REC videos.

Img_4691Img_4691

Here's a new mix of the hip-hop tune "Downtown 81" by Kenneth Masters. A few elements have been rearranged here and there but I was able to loop part of the instrumental and place the bars right in the middle so now, if one were so inclined, a new vocalist can add in their verse pretty seamlessly.

BombBomb
I came across Issaness' cool reading of "The Bomb Dot Com Club - Narrative" and wanted to turn it into some kind of theme song REmix. So I moved around parts of Storm Boy's "I Dream" to make it all come together.
Screen_shot_2010-04-15_at_10.25.59_pmScreen_shot_2010-04-15_at_10.25.59_pm
It was a lot of fun REmixing HarperHippie's "Rappin' @ HitRECord." I took the gritty "Milk It" beat and REassembled that to match the rhymes and beat boxing, then sampled several random sounds from the RECord, as well as the "Regularity" intro.

A lot had to be trimmed to fit the new arrangement but I wanted the end to showcase all the laughs that went into the making of the original resource.

I especially like the verse switch over around :24 or so when the cymbals start to kick in.
N_2418N_2418

Jumped in on the evolution of Lizzienrose's "Glorious" by adding to the latest version by Metaphorest. I integrated elements of danipen's "Untitled rap/hip hop beat" into the mix here and there.

Dsc_0113Dsc_0113

Combined elements of tonguecutsparrow's remix of hangLOOSE's "Spring/Summer" with a bunch of the stems from theboxset's "Venice Beach beat and stems."

I could see this getting built on further with some bass, additional drums, perhaps a few cymbals here and there, maybe some seasonal ambience, and whatever else your heart may desire.

TurntablesTurntables

Had to throw in an homage to "Enter the 36 Chambers" with this request for the rayperez/RegularJOE song "The Prize."

Here is the additional lines of dialogue that would be needed:

* "So what's up man?"

* "Why?"

* "Yeah."

* "What you wanna hear?"

* "Ray Perez again?!"

Shot_1288706068747Shot_1288706068747

Whipped together a remix of Automator's "Collage Song v1."

Primary additions are bells, strings, piano notes, and rewind/fast forward effects. In some spots I played around with the transitions in tone and rearranged a few bits here and there.

Figured there would probably be a shady double-cross going down at the tavern during the "Words We're Wailing" performance.

InvaderInvader

I built a synth yesterday.  It's not terribly musical, but it does make fun noises, reminiscent of walking through a video arcade in the early 80s.  To someone who grew up in that environment, it's a pleasant cacophony.

Anyway, here's a bed of sound that feels like classic arcade games, without actually using the trademarked sounds of those games.  It's quite long, evolving over time to provide some variety.

Note, this is really emulating the sound of several arcade machines in close proximity.  I could imagine it being one frenetic multiplayer game, but I don't think it feels authentic as a single player sitting on their couch at home.

If anyone needs isolated sounds in that style (laser fire, explosions, etc), let me know.  They shouldn't be hard to produce; I just need to hold back do less.

Sometimes I just like to see what happens if I put different styles together.  I wanted to see if I could create a "metal waltz" and do it all electronically.  It's all a waltz until the breakdown where I switch to a 4/4 climax of blast-beats...which btw turned out to be much more difficult to reproduce without a double kick.  HAHA!

Hey, so I wrote this song a couple weeks ago, it's a natural, instrumental hip hop beat that was written to go with some lyrics. Anyone wanna give a shot at writing or recording some lyrics for it?!?? (Also, this is probably common knowledge, but feel free to remix the track itself). Go ahead and think of a title for it while you're at it :)

Hello and welcome to the hitRECord Music LOOPS album!

i have been on an audio adventure spanning over 10,000 RECords to find music that stood out to me for some reason- but just in small doses. A beat here, a melody there.  And then as i started collecting little pieces of music from different songs, i started hearing how different loops could then mix with each other to make new loops.  It's like i'm using hitRECord as a modern day instrument to play. =)

i in no way mean to take credit for having played these instruments, i only REmixed what was already there in the spirit of hitRECord- and i would like to thank and shine appreciation on all of the musicians whose music was used to create these loops. And everyone visiting- please make sure to notice in the REsources bins the names of the artists whose work and talent made these loops possible. They- and you ROCK!

i encourage everyone to please use the HELL out of these loops because that will make me happy.  New loops are still being added so check back for new music soon! i will collect all results from the loops in the album below called hitRECord LOOPS REsults. See you there! =)

*NEW ADDITION!* Make sure to check out the Danny Elfman Oo's & Ah's album to find music loops with VOCALS added by hitRECorders!  =)

Cheers!

Lyrics:
Will you walk with me on this lonely road?
Take my hand, Hold my hand through this blistering cold?
Stay close to me when you know that my hearts alone
Cuz this life doesn't give me anything to call my own

I wish, I dreamt for us to be unlike any other
The way you look, and feel, the way we hold each other
Makes me realize that I couldn't ever ask for anyone better
You might just be the treasure that I cherish forever

Whenever I'm with you, I can't help but wonder why
God chose me to receive the gift of putting you in my life
With you I never worry, never stress, never cry
Hit the jackpot, matched with my one-of-a-kind.

At first, I told myself that this was all a dream,
But now that I think about it, this part of life is as real as it seems
Meeting that one person who makes life as good as can be
So blessed to be with that person, so perfect for me.

Bridge:
So I look at the clock and watch the time flutter by
While I stand here immobilized, watching you run through my mind
The Apple to my eye, for you I'd leave the world behind
And block the sun for you, so I can only see you shine

And I've always wanted someone that I could call mine
Always needed our hearts to be intertwined and never unwind
Now I finally got the girl that has made me go blind
So I'll turn my back to the sun, and see my star shine
Chorus:
I'll watch you shine x 3
We'll shine together, we'll shine forever

Let me see you shine x 2 , Shine, shine
We'll shine together, we'll shine forever

Even when I feel that life doesn't go the way its supposed to
I keep in my soul all the memories that I've shared with you
The way you would kiss me no matter what I'd do
How much joy you bring to me, only if you had a clue

And I know sometimes, I'm not always the soldier that you're looking for
I can't always be there to give you what you're asking for
But you know I'll always give you my all, everything and more
And with that, we'll spread our wings, look to the sky, and soar

Are we flying yet? Damn girl I'm trying.
Are we there yet? Wait babe, I'm still climbing
Still Riding the escalator to the someplace that is greater
Cuz we both cant see the future till we get there later

And whatever the future decides to put in our way
We'll go through it together and it'll all be okay
I know you'll be there for me in my problems each and everyday
Cuz when I see that smile, I fly up up and away

Bridge:
Chorus:

SO here goes nothing, my last couple of rhymes
Have to do with who we are and the different ways we can shine
You've always taught me to make the most of my time
So when we're done, we'll both be stars in the nighttime sky

But I know at some point, we'll go our separate paths
Taking life's challenges in the different ways that we can
Unlike the soldiers on the battlefield, we each have our own plans
Divided we may fall but together we'll always stand

So do you understand now, what you mean to me?
You're everything I need, everything I strive to be
You're the Sullivan who allows my blind eyes to see
The one and only one who can make my conflicting heart agree

And until the end, I hope the magic between us remains
Hope that we'll keep the bond that we worked so hard to create
Cuz I couldn't' ask for anything more on our last date
Than just a simple, "I love you," right before you walk away

Bridge:
Chorus:

I wrote this Seussian poem when I was younger describing a made up creature called "The Fiffles"

It went something like...
"Ahh yes, I remember the Fiffles
They ate waffles with pickles and played wiffle ball.
A curious creature with far fetched features, the fiffle stood four feet tall.
..."

What I have here is a hip hop instrumental that has energy similar to the Fiffles: something Silly and Seussian.

Ideas for collaborations include: emcee with whimsical content, video artist to accompany the soundtrack, musician to remix (just ask for stems!), someone to create a children's story.

2 months ago, parts of my hometown (Springfield MA) and surrounding areas were devastated by tornadoes.

I live in the college town 1/2 an hour north now and a friend of mine actually said something like "who cares about Springfield anyways?".  It set me off because I most certainly do.  People are people.  Anyhow, I finally got this to a point where it's shareable.

I was inspired by how the disaster brought the community together so that's why it sounds hopeful.  There's also a certain something that happens to your soul when these things transpire and you live through them.  It almost makes you feel younger because you appreciate life that much more.  What you held as problems soon erode and in a strange way, we can thank mother nature for it (see: A Tornados Serenity by KatieR90).  Just some ideas I was having.  Maybe it leads you somewhere visually, maybe you come up with a melody.

Dedicated to those who lost their lives in these tornadoes.

A goal of mine is to try to make songs less cluttered so that RECorders aren't overwhelmed with my beats.  That being said, feel free to ask for breakdowns of the music via stems.  Kinda just wanted to share this as is for now.

Today I had an idea. The idea was a man who found a way to create winter. He would make electric snowflakes, electric blizzards, elecrtric ice, all using his invention to create a winter wonderland whenever he chose. This song is about the first time he ever turned his machine on

My first RECord. I just wanna see what people think and what they'll do with it. I have a story I want to tell and this would be the beginning of it. I just RECorded a loose writeup (unfinished) of the story called 'Treatment Undergone' which this is based on

So at work the other day, I bought a new guitar on impulse (on a lunch break), then had to lumber this ancient tattered hardcase all the way back to work before all the way home.
After also purchasing a new Digital Reverb pedal (actually having lunch on lunch was rare that month) I decided to RECord something that should be wrapped in a shroud.

also I understand the recording quality is not perfect, but from an early age if i found something that would record I would use it.

Could certainly stand for some bass or other subtle instrumentation to mix it up.  I'd love to have you involved with some layering on top of this Vickie or if you have any ideas for fleshing out the arrangement so we can spotlight you or some other RECorders, might be interesting. i

This piece is inspired by Lawrie Brewster's illustration Joe VS the Copyright Bots. You can see it here; http://hitrecord.org/records/488242 . Originally, I wanted to score a battle scene, but it turned out to be a pre-battle theme. Maybe for both sides? You tell me...

I added LizRECord's blackbook illustration, because a similar image was also in my head at some point writing the piece... it came in toward the end.

anyhoo. i had some production fun here.
found a nice little panning-distortion effect for the original bass, which set everything into motion, and everything else (besides Pammy's voice, of course) is my contribution.

I was searching for some samples to just play around with, and Ryan Patrick suggested this beautiful recording of Metafictionist singing "Dans Un Bois Solitaire."  So I started glitching it a bit, testing it out, seeing what we could do.  This RECord (1.1) contains some sample glitches/arrangement, followed by beat samples without vox, followed by acapella vox glitches.  I'd love to see some things added, even different drums, instruments and vocals layered in.  I'm really open to letting this one organically develop.  Let's see where this one goes!  (PS: I read up on my translations from the French and I tried to glitch in appropriate ways...but if I jacked something up in French, please let me know so I can try something new.)

Hey folks. This is an instrumental track I did on lapsteel guitar with a loop station. I wanted to see if I could create a full picture with different sounds from only one instrument in a single take. I thought it might work as a score for some kind of film.

this campaign began with a two second beatbox sample i recorded on my phone. sliced it in FL to 95 bpm and decorated it with a few semi-automatic samples for full effect. built a danger-close beat over the mix and airdropped a few rhodes-slices in the vicinity. mission accomplished.

brain strained swear i hate these keys
gotta wana love to need to rap and free the style thats been trapped inside
my inner emotions taking me out for a ride wish i had the proper potion
people looking at me like im insane just because i wear the emotions
not on my sleeves but in my veins feel the pain of missing everyone
been to long already tried to run away

not today ill deal with it another way ill deal with it another day
ill keep this  cycle fluid no reason why i do it it just seems to be what it is is
and what it is is what it is

so i sat back brain placed underneath some pencils in my nap-sack
i couldn't find an eraser to help forget the times or the placurs that we
used to sit and talk about our feelings the clouds have come and soon the sun stopped gleaming
n e ways enough of the sunny day rainbow story i have a deeper and meaner
question the category is us so pay attention please as i say this with ease
why the fuck would u leave me i was everything u wanted i was everything u needed u just sucked me up deleted what was left of me
your hearing through these words what are u being all alone what are u seeing on your own
i myself am left here trying holding back the floods not cying  just attempting to forget ir even understand why i left i

not today ill deal with it another way ill deal with it another day
ill keep this  cycle fluid no reason why i do it it just seems to be what it is is
and what it is is what it is

u talk with a limp and walk with a lisp i got a therapist for legs and a crutch for your lips
retarded when i try and clutch with my fists jitter i just i might miss my mutter moments like this
will stutter on for ever and ever im feeling kind of clever with this idiotic eyedea that what im doings better
then sitting around with fear rolled in cigars im blunt and to the point but if you have a spark or light
well then yes ill hit the joint till its end roaches cover fingers the fire flies are out but theres still music in the speakers
so no night it never ended it just blended into morning im still awake and i feel splendid so far away from boring

FrontFront
So before people wonder, there is a stark difference between hip-hop and rap. Rap being the actual content, more the verb as in to "rap"...hip-hop is the representation of the art-form. hip-hop is the music, the clothes, the style, the composite. So nah, this ain't rap. Beat made by Remot...he's dope

Heavy hands and empty head Should've thought before you said

Black eye, split lip land locked, seasick Listen to the lock click Waiting for the morning to come

I was trying to do this for the independance collabo but just didn't have the time work on it. The theme really applies to anything though. It's a hip hop song with one (lengthy) verse. The instrumental goes on for 4 mins for anyone who wants to drop a verse or Remix the beat. it's pretty simple but I like it!

HIIIIIPPPPP HOOOOPPPPP!!!

RedliningRedlining

This is a spoken word piece that I decided to turn into a bit of a hip hop jam. Sorry for the vocals I'm not very "smooth". It's a piece about my city, Chicago, and its unfortunate state of segregation.

Icon_audio

As I said in my orginal version of this adaptation of a vinyl record thumping away after the music has stopped (thank you again eaneikciv), my first thought was to put a guitar over it somewhere, but the dubby feel of it soon made me look for samples (thank you phantom and the amazing voice of memorizednostalgia).

That turned out fun, but the guitar idea didn't let me go. Now however, it's guitarS. That's right, plural, layered of course. (As you will notice soon enough, I really love guitars!)

Hopefully you will enjoy/get ideas from this longer, even more trippy version, in which I also tweaked the samples some more, for as far as I found the time.

Should anyone wish to remix or use parts of this, I can always put up a Zip with all the sound files separately. Just ask.

Night runNight run
II

Hello.  So this is a piece that I wrote, produced and recorded.  I hope you find it as adventurously beautiful as I do.  I'm looking to collaborate with animators and anyone else who can see something I don't in this.  I'm picturing a bunch of still frame drawings or doodles in the likes of Dr. Suess mixed with Tim Burton (when it's dark, be dark when it's bright, be bright).  For color ideas, check out the custon icon I added to this.  It's from Coldplay's album.  Then, I want take the still frames and put them all together to make them look like their in motion (i.e Coldplay's 'Strawberry Swing').  The creatures I'm picturing are completely up to debatable.  Basically, mix anything from animals to plants to insects with humans.  Here is the story I wrote along with the musical piece.  The bold numbers tell what scenes will be where with the music.

0-0:09

Scene opens: A mother and father glare into a windshield.  The viewer does NOT see what is inside.  The mother kisses the glass and the father pulls her away.

0:10-0:28

Suddenly, fire bursts out from under a space shuttle.  It lifts off.  Leaving behind a world that seems to have no color.  Only gray buildings and landscape.  The ship enters the vastness of space.  Next scene: As the ships travels, it passes by beautiful stars and through exploding galaxies bursting with color.  The ship is then pulled towards a bright planet.  As it comes closer to the planet, It catches fire.  It rapidly flies over gigantic odd shaped trees and finally crashes into an open field.

0:29-0:33

Next scene: The space ship's windshield opens up.  Two strange looking creatures (an older husband and wife), resembling something from the plant kingdom come to the windshield of the space ship.  They look at each other.  The viewer is still unaware of what's inside.

0:33-0:52

The wife reaches into the space ship and pulls out a baby boy.  They're confused yet intrigued.  Next scene: Some time passes.  The baby is living among the tree-like creatures, making a mess of their home.  Next scene: Other strange looking creatures, some looking like elephants mixed with humans and others similar to insects mixed with humans, interact with the baby.

0:53-1:11

Next scene: Time passes and the baby becomes a little boy.  He plays with the other children, who obviously don't accept him.  His new mother and father squander the other children away.  In that moment, the boy touches his mother's face.  He then touches his own.   The mother and father look at each other.  Next scene: The parents cover all the mirrors in their house.  Next scene: boy is in bed and mother is reading story of how all the children run to the edge of this cliff and soar through the air (story is shown through bubble thoughts).  The boy falls asleep.

1:12-1:30

Next scene: More time has passed.  The boy is now a young teenager (12, the oldest).  He's in school building interesting pieces that operate by themselves. The other students feel threatened by this.  A couple of them break his invention.  A female creature helps him recover the pieces that have broken.  They have a beautiful moment.

1:31-1:49

Next scene: Together, they explore this beautiful new world.  Everything is alive and colorful.  From mountainsides to rivers, the colors are different yet marvelous.  They hold hands as they run and lay in fields of bright tall grass.

1:50-1:59

Next scene: In the fields of bright tall grass, the girl disappears.  The boy nervously looks around.  Next scene: The boy knocks on the door of her parents, they answer and when he asks them where the girl is, they point to a tall colorful hill top overlooking a vast ocean.

2:00-2:19

Next scene: The boy is running from the bottom of the hill.  Closer towards the top of the hill, are a group of children his age.  He sees the girl.  He thinks back to his mother telling him the story.  Suddenly, she, along with all the other children, begin to run.  The boy becomes frantic and tries to catch up.  A couple at a time, the children soar off the edge of the cliff and fly into the sky.  The boy reaches the edge and looks down, the ocean violently crashes against the cliff.  The boy steps back as if attempting to give it a shot.  At exactly 2:17-19, the boy reaches the edge of the cliff and doesn't have it in him to jump.

2:20-2:28

Next scene: The children distance themselves from the cliff as they fly deeper and deeper into the clouds.

2:29-2:47

Next scene: Defeated, the boy begins his walk back home.  He wipes tears from his cheeks.  All the beautiful geographical surroundings begin to droop around almost like sensing the boy's sadness.

2:48-3:06

Next scene: He trips (with the first hit of the timpani drum) and falls to the ground.  A puddle forms from his tears.  With his body still on the ground, the boy lifts himself.  He looks into the puddle and sees his reflection.  He studies his face.  He becomes enraged.  He hits the reflection with his hand.

3:07-3:25

Next scene:  He enters his home and starts uncovering all the mirrors in the house.  His mother instantly consoles him.  The boy struggles free of her loving attempt.  Though the viewer can't hear any dialogue, it seems that the boy is emotionally asking who he is and where he came from (maybe pointing to his reflection and crying).  The mother and father stare at each other.  The father nods yes to the mother.

3:26-3:45

Next scene: They are in front of the space ship where they found the boy.  The father points to the windshield of the ship as if retelling the story.  The boy stares at the ship.  The mother puts her hand on his cheek, and she cries and smiles.  He does the same.  He hugs his mother, and his father joins in. And as time elapses (almost like someone fast forwarded), we see the odd family stop their affectionate moment.  The family exits.  The boy remains still, staring at this strange ship.  Meanwhile, The clouds continuously move in different directions.

3:46-3:50

Next scene: Finally, the boy is alone standing epically before the ship.  The sun sets.

3:50-4:09

Next scene: The boy begins taking apart the ship.  Piece by piece.  The landscape is filled with parts from the space shuttle.

4:10-4:28

Next scene: He slides a welding safety mask over his face and begins to weld.  He's building something.  The sparks from the welding gun illuminate the night sky.

4:29-4:47

Next scene: The boy is standing on the cliff looking towards the edge.  He's wearing a contraption similar to that of Buzz Lightyear but more like a back pack space shuttle.  He twists and turns knobs.  Exhaust smoke releases from the pack.

4:48-4:57

Next scene: He begins to run towards the edge.  The sun starts it's rise making the sky look magical.  He comes closer and closer to the edge.

4:58-5:45

Next scene: He hits a red button and jumps off the edge of the cliff propelling himself into the magical sky.  He begins to become harder and harder to see, as the viewer watches from the cliff.

Right now it's just bass and drums.  I'd be interested in anyone jumpin on it.  Doesn't matter what instrument.

More drum and bass.  Again instruments, vocalist all welcome.

I haven't had much time to work on this so there hasn't been many changes. Nothing more than eq tweaking. I got rid of the glitch effect on the drums towards the end that pamagotchi rightly disapproved of. I would like to request of pamagotchi perhaps to rerecord the vocals. Maybe two new versions. Not necesarly completely different versions. I would just like to hear the different inflections that are inherent when working on something and then returning to it later on. If you could do one one day and another someother day. I will upload an instrumental track as well.

My latest track...I'm having problems getting onto my pc for any sort of production, so this'll be my last upload for a while...

Still, same sort of weird ambient, loopy, things going on here.  There is a bass, but its not really there unless you have a decent set of speakers or headphones.  This really isn't a complicated thing, and I used presets for the first time in AGES.  But, I still like all of this.

Enjoy the 170bpm, hippity hop, dark ambience that is Dark Hallow.

I loved thedustdancestoo's poem "to: a broken-hearted butterfly" that he wrote on tumblr and pretty much begged him to upload it to hitrecord so I could use it to write a song. Half a year later... I finally got around to recording it. (sorry...)

I set out to write a piece that was fun to play. End up writing this duo for piano and vibraphone based on prog rock, waltz, samba and jazz. In case you're wondering, "Brincadeira" is portuguese for "game" or "play"... my idea here was to compose as if a child matching blocks and generally playing with the toys at hand. So, 7 hours later, here's my first proper RECord (is that right?), a summery love song I suppose. Hope you'll enjoy it and I just want to say I already love it here, so see you around!

i took my man out swimming

i hollowed out for love
this time i might forget him -

i can't be alone tonight
Please don't leave
don't tell me i will be alright

i need you now
more than i ever did before
i need you now
please don't walk outside that door

i feel so alone tonight i'm afraid that i might cry
i'm holding back a stream of tears as i wonder why
my life had to unfold this way and where i went so wrong
the secret to my happiness lied in you all along
so i beg
please don't leave
