Here is my addition to LynieRae's 'The Longest Poem Ever Created' collaboration.

A Walk in the Dark

On a walk in the dark,

I found myself lost,

Not sure where I was,

Or what I might find.

No moonlight to guide me,

The stars have gone out,

Covered in blackness,

And clouded by doubt.

As I stumbled along

Hoping not to stray

A voice whispered in the darkness,

"Please come this way"

I quivered in fear,

Sensing coldness as I walked,

Something was amiss,

I felt like I was being stalked.

My courage at hand

Started to fault,

Fear and madness,

Had began their assault.

Footsteps behind me

Deep, silent breaths

I started to run

And didn't look back.
