Here is a quicktime movie of just the sound design elements for Morgan and Destiny's Eleventeeth Date. The hitRECord community came through with some great stuff to work with. Thanks to rachelb and DaxSchaffer for your brave and hilarious animal offerings! I also peppered it with my own creations, too: Slide whistle, siren whistle, vibraslap, cowbell, cymbal, xylophone for the winks, and I utilized some public domain SFX graciously culled by Jennifer for the punches in the fight scene, along with my own swooshes and body falls.
It's mostly silent except for the judiciously-chosen sfx sections.
Well done, everyone! Can't wait to see it screen : )

Yup, that's the trick: If the audience is noticing the SFX, then you're overdoing it. That's usually the case with music as score, as well. And acting. And editing. Shit...EVERYTHING, huh?! : )
(though we're definitely in the realm of 'caricature' with MMM, so something like the fight scene can get all over-the-top...At least, that's what I figured).

@Metaphorest: I actually wasn't sure if our sounds were even used until I watched this version, that's how non-detracting they are XD

You did such a fantastic job of this jeff - and I loooove all the sounds from Rachel and Dax - the way you've used them effectively adds another layer of funny and ties the whole mix together - never distracts or detracts from the story, the VO or the music. Brilliant! <3
