I planned on recording the part on my acoustic bass - which sounds suprisingly like a double bass - but my equipment let me down and I ended up using my electric bass. I put a bit of sponge under the strings near the bridge to dampen the sound, and to try to make it sound more "double-bassy". It didn't really work, but I think the part would help accent those staccato bits, a bit.

Other than gating it a bit (to get rid of some headphone bleed) I've not applied any processing at all.
