Here's V1 of Scene 1 for the "Little Red Riding Hood" assembly, with some notes below.

I tried working in as many different resources (from hitRECord and the Public Domain) into this Scene 1 assembly to get a sense of how the story's set-up scene works with varying looks for each character and setting (as well as including the narrator footage as well.)

Scene 1 seems like a good jump-off point to throw in as many different things as possible so the audience knows right away that there will not be a consistent look to the characters, settings, etc.

There are certainly some vocal cues in the narration that would benefit from some hitRECord animation, since most of the animations created thus far seem to be for Scenes 2 and beyond.

Suggestions:

* Take the clip of the Grandma (from the "Audition 3" resource) and add a grandma costume (bonnet, etc.) to give her more of a grandma look for that establishing shot. Personally, I think the cheesier and cruder the animation, the better.

* Create a title card featuring the "Once Upon a Time..." fairytale text. Overlaying it over a hitRECorder's illustration of the woods might be a good option.

* I liked the Public Domain footage of the Wolf playing the organ. Perhaps an animator could create some cutaways based off of the Public Domain footage using hitRECord resources and have the Wolf (or a new character) play the organ synched with the production's score.

Some great stuff in there Matt, but I think it's important to intro the "event" as the main part of the through line. It lets the audience know that everything they see is a part of a larger picture at HR, and to me that's the most interesting part. If the event gets buried, it might come across as simply a collage telling of LRRH, and quite frankly, what's the point? I think the event is the gem here, and everything else support..

I like this as a start, but it feels extremely... disjointed? I know we're going for a kitchen-sink aesthetic, but even when you go for that, I think it's important to have something to tie it all together so it makes sense why you've cobbled together what you've cobbled together. When I envisioned this, I envisioned using, say, an illustration as a border around every shot that ties it all together. Like I said, I think this works really great as a base, but it definitely needs something that makes it more cohesive.

THIS IS SO GOOD! It's exactly the kind of thing we want. All of the little clips you've chosen fit so well to the particular moment of the story being told. It makes it enormously entertaining to watch. I couldn't like this more. I really have no criticisms. Now we just need to give this treatment to all seven scenes. I know it's a ton of work. but we can do it!
    BRAVO MC!!

This is very fun. Just a thought on the final "Little Red Riding Hood" line, right before the cut to the wolf. It's great that you've got it lined up with her look to the camera on "LIttle"... It could be fun to play with editing in a close-up that pulled in to her face along with the deliberate reading of the line - so it would be:
"Little" her look to the camera and frozen
    "Red" pull in tighter
"Riding Hood" Pull in tighter still.

Like a bum bum bum - line up the usual suspects kind of vibe.
